Bad guys beware. There's a brand-new superhero in town. He's called the Liberator and he's played by Lou Ferrigno, a guy with more than a little experience in the realm of comic book heroes.
Liberator is the story of Ed Migliocetti (Ferrigno), an ex-pro football player who gave up his career to join the military. After being drafted into the "Enhanced Abilities Initiative," Ed was dubbed the Liberator and teamed with a group of fellow "supers" known as Sidewinder, Gaia and Volt. Though he soon found himself doing the government's dirty work — assassinations, regime changes, infrastructure sabotage — Ed followed orders. He was a good soldier.
But when a mission went bad, Ed was set up as the fall guy and sent to prison as a traitor. After a decade behind bars, Ed is released and determined to set the record straight. But his efforts aren't appreciated by those who threw him under the bus.

You know, I don’t want to be friends with someone who simply cannot get excited about a short film starring Lou Ferrigno, Don “The Dragon” Wilson, and Ed Asner. In fact, I refuse to believe that such a human being actually exists. If you haven’t seen the full trailer for writer/director Aaron Pope’s “Liberator” here’s a perfect opportunity to correct this problem. The solution resides in the space provided below. Everything you need to know about the picture is contained in the aforementioned clip, so I’ll forgo the usual plot synopsis. Director Josh Eisenstadt (Dark Reel) firmly states that this film is not a horror film and instead Spreading Darkness is more psychological thriller. The first teaser does show one man, Stu (Eric Roberts), under some distress, while he talks about being followed, or stalked to another character, Mark (James Duval). His torment is heightened as his dead wife (Tara Cardinal) beckons him from the grave. Have a look at the first clip for this film below, with more details to follow.
The synopsis for the film, courtesy of the Coventry Telegraph:
"Spreading Darkness is a dark psychological thriller about Stu Undercoffler (Roberts), a man who seems to have it all. That is, until the people he took it from decide they want it back. Stu seems to have it under control, but then visions of his dead wife (Cardinal) become more and more real" (Coventry).
Release Date: 2011.
Director: Josh Eisenstadt.
