- Along with Noel Howlett, he is one of only two actors to appear in one of the three 1950s BBC "Quatermass" serials to reprise his role in the subsequent Hammer Horror film adaptation. He played E.G. McLeod in both the television version of Quatermass II (1955) and the film version Quatermass 2 (1957).
- He is the only actor to appear in both Quatermass II (1955) and Quatermass 2 (1957).
