After almost a year of radio silence, we have some good news to report about Leverage: Redemption.
The fan-favorite reboot has been renewed for a third season, which is set to air in 2024.
There is a significant change on the horizon for the series.
It will no longer be a Freevee original and has been shifted to Prime Video for the next season.
No reason for the change in streaming home has been given, but it's probably thanks to the devoted audience that has embraced the show since it premiered in July 2021.
Reboots are tricky to pull off, with many imploding once the initial curiosity factor wears off.
But fans have connected with this revamped series, thanks to its featuring many franchise veterans and new characters to tell a different story.

“Leverage: Redemption” has been renewed for Season 3, but will be changing platforms. The first two seasons aired on Amazon’s Freevee, but Season 3 will debut on sister streamer Prime Video in 2024 instead.
The move is significant, as “Leverage: Redemption,” a revival of the TNT series “Leverage,” was one of the major scripted titles available on Freevee. The show was ordered to series in 2020, when Freevee was still branded as IMDb TV. Freevee’s biggest scripted series at present is “Bosch: Legacy,” while a spinoff of that show was recently ordered at Prime Video as well.
The first two seasons of “Leverage: Redemption” are currently available to stream on Freevee, as is “Leverage” via Electric Entertainment’s Fast Channel and on-demand.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Leverage: Redemption Season 2.] Did the Leverage: Redemption Season 2 finale, in its last moments, set up the next job we’ll see the crew pulling off? Hardison (Aldis Hodge) videos in from the space station where he’s been for most of the season to reveal that the guys who sent him up there forgot about him and can’t launch a rocket for a rendezvous for two months. But he has a solution: The others can come get him! Sophie (Gina Bellman), Parker (Beth Riesgraf), Eliot (Christian Kane), Harry (Noah Wyle), and Breanna (Aleyse Shannon) make excuses and walk out… leaving Hardison to call after them. He can’t take another freeze-dried meal, he insists, plus he’s missed three DC movies (a nice nod to Hodge’s role as Hawkman in Black Adam) and doesn’t even know who’s fighting whom. Everyone, of course, comes back, eager to start...

Harry (Noah Wyle) has accepted that he’s staying with the crew, after thief Parker (Beth Riesgraf) turned down a job offer for him. And they’re even going to be getting Hardison (Aldis Hodge) back… after they steal him from the space station, that is. Executive producer Dean Devlin discusses key moments from Season 2 and what could be ahead if the series is renewed. Eliot thinks he’ll never be redeemed. Is that something we could see explored in a significant way in a Season 3? Dean Devlin: Absolutely. That’s kind of...

Let’s go steal a second season! Actually, that’s already been done. Yes, that’s right: Our favorite bad guys are coming back. IMDb TV has renewed Leverage: Redemption. While you wait, you can catch up on all 16 episodes of Season 1 and all five seasons of the original series, Leverage (2008-2012 on TNT) on Amazon’s premium free streaming service. The new iteration reunited most of the original team — Gina Bellman’s Sophie Devereaux (The Grifter), Beth Riesgraf’s Parker (The Thief), Christian Kane’s Eliot Spencer (The Hitter), and Aldis Hodge’s Alec Hardison (The Hacker) — and brought in a couple new members in Noah Wyle’s Harry Wilson and Aleyse Shannon’s Breanna Casey. Together, they’re still taking down the rich and powerful who take what they want. At the end of Season 1, Harry left the crew behind, so we’ll have to see if he’ll be back.

More targets, more cons, and the same pros you know and love are back when Leverage: Redemption returns with the second half of its first season on IMDb TV on October 8. Grifter Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman), thief Parker (Beth Riesgraf), hitter Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane), maker (and hacker) Breanna Casey (Aleyse Shannon), and fixer Harry Wilson (Noah Wyle) are back, ready to take down more of the rich and powerful who take what they want in the trailer for the next eight episodes. Parker, in particular, is thrilled to jump off a building, of course. (We’ll have to wait to see how much we see of Aldis Hodge’s hacker Alec Hardison; he’s only recurring due to scheduling and appeared in two of the first eight episodes.) Also still around is Riz Security, the “well-dressed muscle for the rich and powerful.” We have a feeling they’re going...

LeVar Burton‘s hard-fought Jeopardy! guest hosting stint got off to a terrifying start Monday — and we’re not referring to that unfortunate record that was set in the episode. San Diego Comic-Con 2021, the second Comic-Con@Home edition of the beloved pop culture event, kicks off its three-day run Friday.
The free online event, which runs through Sunday, isn't anywhere near as packed with panels as the famed in-person Sdcc usually is, but a decent number of studios and networks will still be hosting Q&As and digital screenings for their TV shows and movies.
As TheWrap reported exclusively earliest this month, HBO (which did present at the 2020 event) will be skipping this year's online con, but its sibling streaming service HBO Max is presenting a virtual event for the show, "gen:lock."
Other notable absentees from the second (and hopefully last) pandemic-forced virtual San Diego Comic-Con include Marvel Studios and DC Films, both of which did not attend the first Comic-Con@Home last year.

“Leverage” returned on Friday in the form of the eight-episode revival, “Leverage: Redemption,” on the streaming service IMDb TV. But Timothy Hutton, whose character Nate Ford served as the center of the original TNT series, does not appear on screen.
“Leverage,” which ran for five seasons on TNT between 2008 and 2012, starred Hutton as a former insurance investigator who becomes the leader of the Robin Hood-esque gang of criminals who steal from the corrupt and powerful to avenge their victims. The original series ended with Nate (Hutton) and his new fiancée Sophie (Gina Bellman) walking away from the criminal life for good, handing the keys to their organization over to the rest of the crew.
The decision to exclude Hutton from the revival came after the Oscar-winning actor was accused of rape last year by former child actress Sera Johnston. Johnston told Buzzfeed that Hutton and a friend raped her at...

Leverage may not look the same, but the team is most definitely back!
IMDb TV picked up a reboot of the show, and the first eight episodes premiere Friday, July 9th!

The returning team features most of the prominent gang but lacks their leader Nate (Timothy Hutton).
Luckily, Leverage: Redemption provides fans with why Nate doesn't join them quite early in the season.
Another slight change, while still appearing in the show, is the limited appearances of Aldis Hodge's Hardison.
Hardison will still be making appearances, but because Aldis Hodge's work schedule has been crazy lately, he will no be in every episode.
While we will miss seeing Hardison each airing, we are glad that he could be in the show at all.

Hitter. Hacker. Grifter. Thief. Brains. For five seasons on TNT, “Leverage” followed four lone wolf criminals — led by former insurance investigator, Nathan Ford (Timothy Hutton) — turned crew of Robin Hoods, fighting corporate and government injustices inflicted upon everyday people. Using their individual skills as a team to steal from the deceitful and remorseless rich and powerful, the Leverage crew’s motto was simple: “Sometimes bad guys make the best good guys.”
Nine years after its original run, “Leverage” is returning (on Amazon’s IMDb TV) with “Leverage: Redemption.” In this continuation series, the Leverage crew has to adjust to the new world order of the rich and powerful, who are even more ruthless — and getting away with even more heinous crimes — than before. Hitter Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane), hacker Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge), grifter and now also brains Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman), and thief Parker (Beth Riesgraf) have all returned for “Leverage: Redemption.
