She served 11 years as director of recreation for the New York Association for the Blind, and pioneered using drama for the blind.
Rose, who worked with the New York Association for the Blind (she served eleven years as the Association's Director of Recreation), also taught acting, and was a pioneer in the use of drama as therapy for the blind.
Stage, television and film actress who also went to college with actress Francis Farmer at the
University of Washington. They would later become roommates in New York in 1935.
