Since winning the award for best musician in

career in earnest. Sonny has always had a propensity for lyrics and
found his voice in that college band. In 1971 Sonny's college band
"Liquid Smoke" signed a recording contract with Avco Embassy records
and had his first hit single with a song called I Who Have Nothing.
They worked major venue concerts with such legendary acts as Buddy
Rich,The Supremes, The Impressions, Three Dog Night, The Guess Who and
Spirit.
Breaking out on his own in 1975 Sonny recorded a total of six records for various labels over the next four years. For the next 15 years Sonny honed his skills working nightclubs and corporate venues across the US. As his repertoire grew so did his flexibility as a vocalist. In 1994 Sonny began to branch into the world of commercial radio and went on to record many voice-overs for New York area radio stations. During this time he also began to put together a band to do corporate and private functions and for the next 12 years worked over 1,400 parties and events including corporate clients like, Comedy Central, The Audio Engineers of America and parties for Paul Simon and concert appearances with Isaac Hayes, Tower of Power and the legendary Ray Charles.
In 1997 Sonny auditioned for a part in a major network television event. The NBC miniseries "Witness to the Mob" was broadcast in the winter of 1998 and Sonny landed a principle part and earned his Screen Actors Guild card with his vocal performance in the NBC miniseries. Sonny has now appeared in over 28 feature films such as; Analyze That, Cruel Intensions and the television features Law and Order and Sex and the City, working with Robert DiNiro, Billy Crystal, Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Jessica Parker. In 1998 Sonny began his current gig as a featured vocalist on cruise-ships. Sonny has the material to perform three full 45-minute shows.
