Exclusive: We’ll be seeing more of Tyler Green in the upcoming season of Criminal Minds: Evolution. Ryan-James Hatanaka, who heavily recurred as the character last season has been promoted to series regular for Season 2 of the Paramount+ series, which is currently in production.
Hatanaka’s Tyler Green is a former army intelligence officer who infiltrated the serial killer network created by Elias Voit (Zach Gilford). This season, the Bau recruits Tyler as a consultant, utilizing his psychological operations training on their latest season-long investigation.
Green joins cast members Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez, Paget Brewster and Gilford.

Moments ago, the 2020 Writers Guild Awards began their show. Interestingly, the ceremony kicked off by announcing both of the big Film prizes, Original Screenplay and Adapted Screenplay. The former was seen as a race between Noah Baumbach for Marriage Story and Bong Joon Ho and Han Jin Won for Parasite, with the winner the main competitor to Quentin Tarantino and Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood at Oscar. NEW YORK -- The sophomore effort from Menachem Daum and Oren Rudavsky, the filmmaking team that delivered the acclaimed "A Life Apart: Hasidim in America," this documentary about an Orthodox Jewish family that travels to Poland resonates on many levels.
Subtitled "Faith and Tolerance After the Holocaust," "Hiding and Seeking", intended as the second part of a trilogy examining the lingering effects of the Holocaust on the Jewish community, will have a long life at festivals and on cable. The film is receiving its U.S. theatrical release at New York's Quad Cinema.
The film was born out of Daum's growing concern about the insularity of the Orthodox Jewish community, typified by the prejudicial behavior and attitudes toward Gentiles exhibited by his parents, Holocaust survivors, and his own adult sons, Talmudic scholars living in Israel. To counter what he sees as their narrow-minded viewpoints, he takes his sons on a trip to Poland, regarded by many as one of the most anti-Semitic countries in Europe.
There, they seek out the Polish farm family that risked their lives during to war to hide Daum's father-in-law, his sons' grandfather, from the Nazis. The resulting encounter, climaxing with an overseas phone call between the aged survivor and his rescuers, is deeply moving.
Primitively shot on video, "Hiding and Seeking" is in effect an elaborate home movie. But its examination of the long-lasting effects of evil on the psyche of its victims and their descendants is both thoughtful and much needed in these increasingly polarized times.
