- Zanne Shaw began her career while studying at the University of Southern California. After returning from Austria where she had volunteered at the American Embassy, she started doing bit roles on television as a way to earn money while completing her studies. She credited her mother, actress Vera Burnett with getting her into the industry. In addition to a walk-on role in Son of Sinbad (1955), she did several television series and hundreds of commercials. She married a businessman named Ted Winship in 1955, and they have had one of the longest, most successful marriages in Hollywood. He later got into the industry as well, appearing as a stand-in in several films. Zanne continued her successful career in Murder She Wrote, Matlock, and Ally McBeal.
