I had never heard of Fox Star Studios. Not even when Slumbdog was winning awards … but now it appears the biggest name in the Bollywood business – Shah Rukh Khan – is joining the team.

Mumbai (August 6, 2009) __ Fox Star Studios, a pan-Asian joint venture between Twentieth Century Fox and Star, today announced a groundbreaking deal with Shah Rukh Khan, Bollywood’s most successful movie star, and director Karan Johar (“K3G,” “Kank”), to finance and distribute “My Name is Khan.”
The partnership on “My Name Is Khan” follows Fox Star Studios’ successful release of “Slumdog Millionaire” in India earlier this year. According to reports, Tiger Woods is currently sitting at 6 over par for the tournament while Steve Marino and Tom Watson are sharing a lead of 5 under par for the tourney. Apparenty, Tiger didn't start the tournament off so great. Tom Watson shot an even par today to end up sharing the lead with Steve Marino. Excitement, fun and festivity – were the moods at the premiere of one of the most awaited Hollywood releases of this year – Hugh Jackman’s ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’.
Hosted by Vijay Singh (CEO, Fox Star Studios India) the event was held at Cinemax Versova and was attended by a host of celebrities who couldn’t wait to watch their favourite mutant Wolverine set the screen on fire with all his thunder.
Prateik Babbar was one of the earliest to walk in, followed by friends Vinay Pathak and Ranveer Shorey.

After distributing Slumdog Millionaire in India, the international entity is, reportedly, keen on acquiring the global rights of Karan Johar's much-awaited biggie My Name Is Khan, which stars the unbeatable combo of Srk and Kajol, yet again. "It's not only My Name Is Khan, we're in talks with several people/production houses at the moment," Vijay Singh of Fox Star Studio - currently abroad - throws light on the topic, "Let me say, we're keen to build relationships with the best of Bollywood." Please elaborate. "Well, we already have a 2-film deal with Vipul Shah [reportedly, Action Replay, directed by Vipul himself, and the Sanjay Khanduri-directed Sunny starrer have been acquired by them], but I wouldn't like to reveal the names right now.
