July has been off to a great start for Disney Plus, especially with awesome new additions like The Mighty Ducks, The Big Green, and Race to Witch Mountain to get the nostalgia train running. With so many excellent shows and movies already available on the service, it’s always just icing on the cake to get big content drops throughout the month, and that’s exactly what today is bringing.
In fact, included in today’s releases is a special film many have been waiting to see finally join the platform, so you’ll want to load up the app and check it out. Of course, we’re talking about Solo: A Star Wars Story, which focuses on the early life of everyone’s favorite smuggler, Han Solo.
It doesn’t feature Harrison Ford in his iconic role, obviously, considering that the pic takes place years before the Original Trilogy,...

In “Zootopia,” bunny Judy Hopps journeys to the mammal metropolis literally bright-eyed and bushy-tailed: She’s ecstatic to leave her quaint suburb and follow her dream of becoming a police officer in the big city. Soon Judy (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) finds that she’s the odd one out on the police force, a squad of hardened buffalos, elephants, hippos and rhinos. Little animals don’t do dangerous police work — big ones do. So Judy’s relegated to meter maid duty. Jason Batman’s fox character also finds himself facing Zootopia’s limited perception of his kind: Everyone knows foxes are sly tricksters not to be trusted, right? With “Zootopia,” Disney takes on the issue of stereotypes. Co-director Rich Moore hopes the movie tells kids, “You ultimately define yourself, not the world.” For story artist Marc Smith that message was part of what got him interested in joining the film.

Tangled Directors Nathan Greno and Byron Howard took part in a very cool virtual roundtable interview recently, and they managed to cover a lot of subjects while interviewers got a chance to catch some of the special features. I'll be getting you a lot of great stuff related to this release in the coming days, but for now check out what the directors had to say about their film.
Q - Congratulations on the film's success. Have you given any thought to making a sequel?
A - Nathan Greno: We'd only do a sequel if there was a great story to tell. The movie buttons up really nicely... but we do love those characters... I guess we'll have to wait and see. Again, we'd have to have a great story already in mind if we wanted to do a sequel...

With the upcoming blu-ray & DVD release of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Tangled“, Disney gave us the opportunity of a roundtable Q&A with the film’s directors. The film was directed by both Nathan Greno and Byron Howard, previous Disney films they have worked on are: Bolt, Brother Bear, Prep & Landing, Mulan, as well as Lilo & Stitch. I personally loved the movie (it was one of the top 3 films on my list for 2010), the story was fantastic, songs moving & memorable, Zachary Levi & Mandy Moore were outstanding, and let’s not forget how beautifully animated the film was… plus Pascal & Maximus were pretty awesome too.
As an aspiring filmmaker of animated films and geek of anything Disney and/or Pixar it’s great to see films like this succeed, as well as being made in general.
Check out the the amazing Q & A below (questions are in bold, answers...
