- He made his stage debut in the 1870s in Berlin, afterwards followed engagements in cities like Hamburg, Breslau and Hannover. Finally he returned to Berlin and he was active as an actor and director at the Central Theater. Afterwards followed a long lasting engagement at the Thalia Theater.
