Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Stevens, and Billy Morrison team up on the new song “Crack Cocaine” from the latter’s upcoming album, The Morrision Project. The single is out now, along with a music video starring Paris Jackson.
Morrison — longtime rhythm guitarist in Billy Idol’s band and former bassist for The Cult — previously premiered the video for the album’s lead single, “Drowning,” right here at Heavy Consequence. His guest-filled LP also features contributions from Idol, Corey Taylor, Al Jourgensen, John 5, Darryl “Dmc” McDaniels, and Linda Perry, among others.
Morrison and fellow Billy Idol guitarist Stevens trade licks on “Crack Cocaine” as Ozzy delivers his haunting vocals on lines like, “Loving you is driving me insane/ I put you down and pick you up again … like crack cocaine.”

It’s easy to draw a lot of conclusions from the title of Ozzy Osbourne’s new single with friend Billy Morrison, “Crack Cocaine,” without listening to it. But the singer says it’s more nuanced than that. “The song’s not about crack cocaine,” the Prince of Darkness tells Rolling Stone on a call from his L.A. home. “It’s about being in love with a chick. But it’s kind of what you might think Ozzy Osbourne would do. It’s, like, the two loves in my life: drugs and women.

This post contains spoilers for Star Trek: Lower Decks.
Since its very first episode, Star Trek: Lower Decks has excavated the most embarrassing parts of Star Trek lore, refusing to let even tangential parts of the franchise go forgotten. The Next Generation‘s second-worst enemy race the Pakleds became major antagonists in Lower Decks, and Boimler showed unironic appreciation for a Tom Paris commemorative plate. Heck, even the Space Fun Helmet made a brief appearance.
So it’s no surprise that Lower Decks would eventually get around to one of the great debates in Star Trek history: how do you solve a problem like Tuvix? Directed by Cliff Bole, the Voyager season two episode “Tuvix” used that old Trek standby, a transporter accident, to pose a knotty moral quandary. When an exotic plant disrupts the transporter beam carrying Vulcan security chief Tuvok and Talaxian guide/cook Neelix, the two combine into one being,...

This article contains spoilers for the latest episode of "Star Trek: Lower Decks."
The koala is something of a running gag on "Lower Decks," going back to the first season episode "Moist Vessel". In that episode, an officer named Lieutenant O'Connor (Haley Joel Osment) invites Ensign Tendi (Noël Wells) to witness the end of a years-long spiritual journey and see him ascend into a higher being. Sadly, Tendi drops O'Connor's ritual gong during his crucial, final ritual and ruins his mandala to catch it. His ascension is stymied. Tendi will spend the bulk of the episode attempting to get back into O'Connor's good graces, something that annoys him immensely. He wanted to be seen as the only "spirituality guy" on the ship, and now that status is ruined.
Later on in the episode, however, O'Connor does end up ascending in the middle of a crisis and somewhat by accident. In a corridor,...

There are a lot of sci-fi tropes out there ripe for reimagining, and Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 4 Episode 3 does a solid job of defying our expectations on three fronts as the show continues to mine canon for schtick.
From the titular benevolent world-managing AI to Boimler's first mission command to Beta Shift's first rite of passage as lieutenants (junior grade), we bear witness to multiple moments of near disaster. And that single fatality.
The most exciting development is the introduction of the Anomaly Storage Room, a literal treasure trove of potential catastrophes. I'm unsure why the Cerritos isn't dumping all that at Starbase One every chance it gets.
Much like when one moves house and discovers seventeen measuring tapes in various boxes when unpacking, the absurdity of Star Trek knick-knacks is never more apparent than when random McGuffins from a cross-section of franchise series are thrown together.

Character actor Cliff Emmich, who played major roles in “Payday” and “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot” has died, his agent confirmed. He was 85.
Emmich’s rep and friend for over 50 years, Steve Stevens, tells TheWrap that the celebrity died Monday in Los Angeles following a long battle with lung cancer.
“He was a very special man and an underrated actor,” Stevens said. “He loved being a member in good standing of Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA and so very proud of his chosen profession. He loved being a cowboy and could ride a horse with the best of them. I’m sure Cliff would be embarrassed with all the attention he is now getting.”

Emmich died Monday at his Valley Village home in Los Angeles after a long battle with lung cancer, his rep Steve Stevens told The Hollywood Reporter.
In perhaps his most well-known role, Emmich played the driver Chicago, who steered the Cadillac sedan with Rip Torn‘s hard-living honky tonk singer Maury Dann in the backseat, in Payday (1973).
In Michael Cimino‘s Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974), Emmich portrayed the Western Union security guard with a porn fetish who is attracted to the long-legged, dress-wearing Jeff Bridges. The first three episodes of Pam & Tommy are available now on Hulu, and so far viewers have seen Tommy Lee do quite a few things. They’ve seen him lick Pamela Anderson’s face seconds after meeting her at a club, follow her down to Cancun for a Baywatch promotional event, and marry her just days later. They’ve also seen him pull a gun on a contractor (played by Seth Rogen) who winds up stealing a homemade sex tape from his house. And in one of the more memorable moments,...

Billy Idol has always pushed the boundaries of chronological time, starting with the anachronistic 1970s punk look he pushed all over 1980s MTV. Once a blockbuster staple, the power ballad was the ultimate movie accompaniment. We look back at some of the classics...
For a glorious period from the mid-80s throughout the 90s, the biggest summer blockbusters were only worth their salt if they had an equally gargantuan song at the head their soundtrack. Often the success of one was inexorably linked to the other, with the likes of Four Weddings And A Funeral's feats matched and even exceeded by Wet Wet Wet's accompanying Love Is All Around.
The greatest and most successful songs belong to the power ballad genre, and are as emotionally charged and forceful as the gods of epic balladry such as Journey, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi and Meat Loaf. Today we bring you the sad news that Richard Kiel — the towering actor who embodied renown James Bond villain, Jaws — has died at the age of 74.
The 7-foot-2 actor passed away on Wednesday morning in a Californian hospital; though the medical staff is yet to release an official cause of death, citing client confidentiality.
His agent, Steve Stevens, released the following statement.
“He was a very loyal friend and client for over 35 years, a terrific husband and father, and was not only a giant actor but a giant man”.
Kiel was perhaps best known for his aforementioned role as the Bond villain Jaws; a role he brought a tremendous amount of gravitas to during his back-to-back appearances in Roger Moore’s The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and Moonraker (1979). And though the memorable baddie was slated to be killed off during the finale of The Spy Who Loved Me originally, fans...

There's a lot of money in sports betting -- both illegal and legal -- but for those who want to win big, good advice is worth more than gold.
Premiering Wednesday, March 19, on CNBC, "Money Talks" profiles Steve Stevens (real name Darin Notaro), the Las Vegas-based owner of VIP Sports, which handicaps pro and college sports and then sells that information to gamblers.
Along with providing information that benefits the customers, the company must also drum up new business, and it has a staff of sales agents working the phones to close deals with new clients.
"I'm born and raised in Las Vegas," says Notaro to Zap2it, "so I've been involved in gambling my entire life. When I was 12 years old, I was making parlays."
Notaro started just out of high school in telemarketing and was very good at it. But when the company ran afoul of the law,...

CNBC announced at the Television Critics Association on Saturday it was ordering to series Money Talks, a reality show all about the world of sports betting. The star of the show will be Steve Stevens, whom CNBC's press release describes as "a well-known handicapper" in Vegas. There's only one problem: no one in Vegas knows who he is. In addition to this, top people in the sports betting world are accusing Stevens of being a "fraud" and "ex-convict" who shouldn't be given a platform on a major network.

The newest trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness prominently features the return of Bruce Greenwood as Admiral Pike, the original original Enterprise captain who’s been transformed via Abrams into the Viper to Captain Kirk’s Maverick. “Do you have any idea what a pain you are?” Pike tells Kirk, who’s apparently been insubordinate about something. Cue various shots of volcanoes and explosions and a bigscreen remake of the Dead Space 2 zero-gravity space flight. And at the end Admiral Pike says to Kirk: “You’ll pick up your Rio when you get to the ship. And if you don’t,...

Seattle — A Seattle man says that having Billy Idol play his 26th birthday party made for the greatest night of his life.
Michael Henrichsen spent two years persuading the British rock icon to play his party, and it paid off Friday at the packed Showbox SoDo club.
Idol guitarist Steve Stevens played him `Happy Birthday' in the middle of a solo. Then Idol called Henrichsen onto the stage for a rendition of the song.
Henrichsen's `80s cover band opened for the show.
Idol says Henrichsen's effort stood out from other fan requests because his campaign involved four "Billy Idol Aid" charity concerts that raised $13,000 for the Northwest Harvest food bank and the American Red Cross.
Idol says playing Henrichsen's party in Seattle might help fans see another side of him.

Spike Lee's Bad 25 is fantastic. I saw it in Toronto and gave it one of my most positive reviews of the year. Centering on the creation of Michael Jackson's record-breaking 1987 album "Bad", the doc speaks with those closest to Jackson during those years and finally pushes aside the attention whores most commonly interviewed when talking about the late singer. Here's a snippet from my review: I was enthralled listening to Bruce Swedien discussing his work as Michael's audio engineer. Lee talks with Quincy Jones, Joe Pytka (director of "Dirty Diana" and The Way You Make Me Feel"), Steve Stevens on being called in to play guitar on "Dirty Diana", Ruben Blades on working with Michael to translate "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" into Spanish, Greg Phillinganes (synthesizer) and Matt Forger's genuine sincerity discussing his work with Michael at his Hayvenhurst home. Then, of course, there...

Where the lackluster concert documentary This is It looked to capitalize on Michael Jackson's death, Spike Lee's Bad 25 explores the life and creative genius of Michael Jackson using the making of his 1987 album "Bad" as the narrative device on this, the album's 25th anniversary. Dedicating time to all eleven songs on the record-breaking album, Lee uses the making of each song and subsequent music video to shape a narrative that moves effortlessly despite its two hour and 11 minute running time. In short, it's excellent. I should mention first, I'm a huge fan of Michael Jackson. The news of his death was entirely surreal to me, hitting me harder a day later than it did the day it was first reported. Our world has plenty of tragic figures and, to me, the tragedy that befell Michael Jackson is rather gut-wrenching. This doc makes it even a little harder...

Josie Stevens, one of the stars of E!'s new series Married to Rock, wants to get a few things straight. "People think I'm really really dumb or really really slutty," the über-booby blonde (on the left in the photo), who's husband is rocker Steve Stevens, tells me. "Neither of those things are actually true." "I love my husband and I don't engage in any sluttery with anyone but him," she explained, "I actually can read, too." And she also isn't a transvestite: "Everyone thinks I'm a tranny," she told me, "and I actually don't have a penis! "I think people think being married to a musician, we just...

Will You watch Married to Rock — the show all about the lives of women married to rock stars?
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which premieres Oct. 14, is a slice of life from one of the most famous parts of Los Angeles, but it better watch out — E! is creating another show centered in the City of Angels, and it sounds like it’s going to be a whole lot of drama.
Married to Rock will be a reality show featuring the wives of some of the most hard core rockers in the business (and one woman who is about to marry into the clan)…and we cannot wait!
“So many women have a fantasy about landing a rock star,” Lisa Berger, executive vp programming at E!, told The Hollywood Reporter. “We’re raising the curtain on the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle and showing there’s more to it than the late-night partying,...

Considering the rampant success of shows like "Basketball Wives" and the "Real Housewives" series, it was only a matter of time before reality show cameras started tracking the daily trials and tribulations of the spouses of rock stars. Just such a thing will be happening when E! premieres "Married to Rock," a show that will focus on a handful of women married to rock stars and will premiere on November 7. Since shows like this live and die on the personalities of the people involved, the cast is very important, and this batch includes Susan Holmes McKagan (wife of former Guns N' Roses member and current Velvet Revolver bassist Duff McKagan), Etty Farrell (wife of Jane's Addiction frontman and Lollapalooza godfather Perry Farrell), Josie Stevens (wife of Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens) and Aj Celi (the not-quite-wife of the Cult guitarist Billy Duffy).
It's a strange mix of people, to be sure.
