- Trumpeter and singer who played with Clark Terry, Lionel Hampton, Woody Herman, and Count Basie in the 1980s, then performed at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1989. In the 1990s he played in pit orchestras for Broadway shows and also worked with the American Jazz Orchestra, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, the GRP All-Star Big Band (recording in 1993), the pianist David Matthews's Manhattan Jazz Orchestra, and Mitchell's All-Star Orchestra.
