A number of British soap stars turned out to pay their respects to late actress Betty Driver at her funeral in Manchester, England on Saturday.
The veteran Coronation Street star passed away earlier this month at the age of 91 and many of her former co-stars were among the mourners at her memorial service at the city's St Ann’s Church.
William Roache, Sue Nicholls, Julie Goodyear, Michael Le Vell and Bill Tarmey were among the congregation, while Bill Kenwright, who played Driver's onscreen son, and Helen Worth, who plays Gail McIntyre in the soap, both spoke during the service.
Worth told the crowd, "How do we say goodbye to her? In the way she wanted us to do with a smile, remembering her infectious laugh, her perfume which announced her arrival, her love of life and everyone in it and celebrate with joy the glorious 91 years of Betty Driver."
The funeral was screened for fans outside the church, at Driver's request, and she also asked for the service to take place on a Saturday so her colleagues would not miss a day of filming.
A recording of Driver singing The World Will Sing Again was also played to the congregation and was met with a standing ovation.

Bill Tarmey has admitted that he struggled to stay still while filming his Coronation Street death scenes. The actor quit his role as Jack Duckworth after three decades in the Manchester serial. The much-loved character died after a short illness last November. The sad scenes also saw Liz Dawn reprise her role as Vera, as the popular couple were reunited. "I was so useless I couldn't stay still when I was supposed to be dead," Tarmey told The Mirror. "A stagehand had to tell me to stop tapping my toe to the music. Then another one had to tell me to stop tapping my fingers." ITV1 viewers will tonight see Tarmey honoured with two awards at the British Soap Awards. The (more)...

Bill Tarmey has admitted that he has the deaths of Coronation Street characters Ashley Peacock and Molly Dobbs on his conscience. The actor - who quit his role as Jack Duckworth in the ITV1 soap last year - revealed that he had initially suggested that his character be killed off in a tram crash to producer Phil Collinson. "Phil asked me if there was any particular way I'd like to be written out of the show. I hadn't given it any thought as I wasn't expecting the question," he writes in the paperback version of his autobiography Jack Duckworth and Me, which is being serialised by The Sun. "I said jokingly that I could come out of Dev's shop and get squished by a derailed tram. I told Phil he could get rid of a few others at the same time in the fatal crash. I thought he realised I wasn't serious.
