Thompson introduced himself to Love Is Blind fans in the second season of the show. He operated as VP of Product Marketing at the time. At first, it seemed that he and the reality show were a good match. He ended up falling for his fellow contestant Danielle Ruhl, and their story concluded with the two marrying each other.
But Thompson alleged that his time on Love Is Blind was far from pleasant. In an interview with Daily Mail, he claimed that the cast was expected to shoot 20 hours a day without adequate nutrition. He also didn’t appreciate the...

Netflix has renewed reality dating series “Love Is Blind” for its sixth and seventh seasons, with Season 6 set for a Valentine’s Day premiere.
The series follows singles who want to be loved for who they are, who have signed up for a less conventional approach to modern dating, and will choose someone to marry without ever seeing them based on a series of conversations through a wall. Over several weeks, the newly engaged couples will move in together, plan their weddings and find out if their physical connections match the strong emotional bonds developed in the pods. The arrival of their wedding dates tests whether the realities of external factors will push them apart or they’ll marry the person they fell blindly in love with.
Nick and Vanessa Lachey host the series, which hails from Kinetic Content. Executive producers include creator Chris Coelen, Ally Simpson, Brent Gauches, Eric Detwiler and Brian Smith.

“Love Is Blind” alum Nick Thompson is slamming the reality dating series, as well as Netflix, for what he feels are exploitative business practices.
The reality star — who appeared on the second season of the hit dating series — recently revealed that he is on the brink of homelessness, and lays the blame, at least in part, on his involvement with the show in 2021.
“I lost my job last November [and] I’m having an incredibly hard time finding [a new] one,” Thompson recently told The Daily Mail.
“I burned through my savings that cashed out my 401(k). I’ve got two months left in the bank to pay my mortgage. I can’t get a job because people don’t take me seriously,” he added. “I was a VP in software for five years, so it’s not like I don’t have a track record of experience or success.”
According to Thompson,...

"Love Is Blind: After the Altar" returned on Sept. 16 to gather all our favorite season two castmates for an epic reunion. However, one face was noticeably absent from the three-part special: Shake Chatterjee. During part one of the reunion, Chatterjee's name is brought up while his costars Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson are planning the group's surprise getaway weekend - ironically to acknowledge that they didn't reach out to invite him yet. "If he's going, I'm not going," Thompson says during "After the Altar."
As many fans remember, Chatterjee made quite the impression during his season when he managed to piss off most of his fellow castmates (mainly the women), ex-fiancée Deepti Vempati, and even hosts Vanessa and Nick Lachey - whom he notably got into a heated exchange with during the season two reunion and on social media. The "Love Is Blind" cast member received a...

Exclusive: Wired Studios, Condé Nast Entertainment and Loki Films will bring the mysterious 2018 death of an unidentified hiker to screen.
From Loki Films’ Oscar-nominating directing duo Rachel Grady and Heidi Ewing (Jesus Camp), the newly announced project is based on the viral story by Wired’s editor in chief Nick Thompson.
“This is a special story not just about the seemingly impossible reality of a person leaving no digital footprint, but also of the human instinct to pull up all roots and disappear,” says Grady.
In 2018, the body of a hiker was found in a Florida nature preserve. Despite meeting hundred of other hikers as he headed down nearly the length of the Appalachian Trail and thousands of amateur sleuths on Facebook pouring over the clues he left behind, the hiker has yet to be identified.
The documentary will take a deep dive into the mysterious story, drawing on forensic reports,...
