Wayne Tippit was born on December 19, 1932 in Lubbock, Texas, USA. He was an actor and assistant director, known for JFK (1991), Dancer, Texas Pop. 81 (1998) and Nurse Betty (2000). He was married to Carole Macho. He died on August 28, 2009 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
The lung transplant he received in 2000 was a single lung. He was being treated for emphysema.
Studied speech and drama at what is now Texas Tech Unversity. Later transferred to the University of Iowa and received his bachelor's degree in fine arts in 1953.
He was nominated for a 1974 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actor in a Principal Role for his performance in William Inge's play, "The Dark At The Top of the Stairs" at the Ivanhoe Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
