Buckcherry have shared the music video for their cover of Bryan Adams’ classic hit “Summer of ’69.”
Singer Josh Todd and company treat the anthemic rock song with proper reverence, sticking to the core arrangement and general presentation of the original. However, the band adds a harder, more glam-metal edge, upping the tempo and overall energy of the performance.
The video for the track mostly features live footage and vignettes of Buckcherry, giving potential concertgoers a sense of what to expect if they catch the band on its ongoing tour. The US outing continues tonight (July 25th) in Leesburg, Virginia, and runs through the end of August. From there, Buckcherry will team up with Skid Row for a lengthy co-headlining trek that will extend into mid-December. Get tickets here.
The release of “Summer of ’69” as a single comes just days after the announcement of the Summer of ’99 Cruise, featuring a reunited Creed as headliners.

Alice in Wonderland by Rebecca Grant, 15
Tim Burton has snatched the beautifully eccentric odyssey that we once lovingly knew as Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, wrung it dry of anything resembling the endearingly capricious originality of the children's classic, and slung the disgusting dregs into a pretentious, Disneyfied quest movie replete with, frankly, un-special effects.
Burton's insistence that his film was not a re-imagining or sequel to other "Alice movies" made me wonder whether he had actually read the book at all. Nineteen-year-old Alice, played by the apparently tranquilised Mia Wasikowska, spends a disproportionate amount of time at the beginning of the movie prancing around in a tediously twee caricature of Victorian high society. When the dopey antagonist finally wiggles her way into Wonderland, we are ambushed by the White Rabbit, the Dormouse, the Dodo, Tweedledum and Tweedledee all at once,...

In its six seasons on Fox, “Bones” has welcomed plenty of guest stars. Oscar nominee Ryan O’Neal has been on several times as Dr. Temperance Brennan’s father. “Nightmare On Elm Street” star Robert Englund made a memorable appearance, as did Zooey Deschanel, the sister of star Emily Deschanel. Plenty of musicians have graced the set as well, from Zz Top guitarist Billy Gibbons’ recurring character, to Buckcherry singer Josh Todd, to ’80s rockers Motley Crue. With so many guest stars to choose from, which one do David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel agree was their favorite? We talked to them and found out.
Who has been your favorite guest star, and more importantly, who would you like to see in a future epsiode? Let us know. ____ Watch a new episode of “Bones,” directed by Boreanaz, tonight at 9/8 Central after “American Idol” on Fox Bones fans, are you a closeted Squint?...

Right here we get to celebrate three things at once: television, music, and giving stuff away. First off, the fifth season of Bones, starring David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel, hits DVD this Tuesday (more coverage on that later). The second and third entities tie in with the first in that Buckcherry had a guest spot in the fifth season of Bones and is now doing a little bit of cross-promotion with a little Bones-themed music video. So what's the third thing? Anyone who watches the slightly gory (okay, not Hatchet II gory - but by TV standards) is entered to win a trip to Las Vegas. We've embedded the video below, but I think you'll have to clickthrough if you want to be entered to win (since they make you answer two questions to "prove" you watched the video).

Writer/director Robert Hall debuted the extended cut of a trailer for his next Dry County Entertainment banner project Old Scratch during Texas Frightmare. Lucky for you an actual teaser trailer has found its way online. Although it is much shorter than what fans got to check out during the con, it's still better than nothing!
While the teaser does just that for horror fans, it looks like there are some genre faves featured including Lena Headey, Ashley Laurence, Kevin Gage, and Thomas Dekker as well as Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd and a surprising appearance by funnyman Rob Schneider. Eagle-eyed viewers will even notice Friday the 13th Part 6 alum Bob Larkin.
Hall has given no indication on the status of the project or when we'll hear more about the flick. Old Scratch follows Neven, a washed up musician living in his own faded shadow in Atlanta. One night, after another sparsely attended gig,...

I debated titling this recap "Testicle Festival," but since we never found out what caused the victim -- a rich poser at a rock & roll fantasy camp, murdered by a fellow camper -- to have a prosthetic gonad, it didn't feel right. For me, the fantasy camp fell a little flat -- I didn't know the guy playing famous guest guitarist Erik Dalton was Josh Todd from Buckcherry. I just sorta thought he looked like Carey Hart. Nor did I understand how cool it was that Michael Des Barres played the camp's frontman, Simon Graham, until I looked him up online.

Alright, look, I love David Boreanaz. The man's got many skills. Singing? Not so much. I watched "Angel". So the fact that it looks like he will be singing in the April 29 new episode of Bones kind of scares me. But also makes me laugh. Try to find videos of Angel singing Barry Manilow. Hilarious.

British-born rocker Sass Jordan has dismissed reports suggesting she'll replace Steven Tyler in Aerosmith, but confesses it would be a "cool" gig. Internet gossip suggested the singer/songwriter, who is a judge on TV talent show "Canadian Idol", has been in talks with Tyler's bandmates with a view to join them for recording and touring commitments while the frontman is on hiatus.
But she insists she's heard nothing, adding, "Steven Tyler is the singer in Aerosmith, last I checked? I must be out of the loop. Why would they get a female? Cool, though." Jordan's comments follow those from Lenny Kravitz, Sammy Hagar and Buckcherry's Josh Todd, who have already ruled themselves out of contention for the vacant rock job.
In January, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry revealed he wouldn't rule out hiring a woman as Tyler's temporary replacement, "A lot of the bands I was in before I had Aerosmith,...

Buckcherry have released a music video in support of their new song called "Rescue Me". The music video mostly shows the rock band performing the song at one of their live concerts.
"Rescue Me" is a new song which is inspired by Dave Pelzer's book titled "A Child Called 'It'" and it comes out on the band's fourth major studio album "Black Butterfly". The band's singer, Josh Todd, speaks of the book behind the song's inspiration, "There were times when I had to put the book down because the abuse of this boy was so bad, but I felt like the book found me ... I was compelled to write this song out of inspiration from this guy's incredible journey."
Most recently, the band announced tour dates with Avenged Sevenfold and Saving Abel to promote "Black Butterfly", which has been dropped since September 16 in the U.S. Kicked off on November...
