[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2 Episode 2 “Benjamin Franklin.”] After the latest Alert: Missing Persons Unit episode, we have so many questions about Nikki’s (Dania Ramirez) history with Irish mob boss Charlie (Ian Tracey). The two cross paths due to the investigation, but it’s not the first time. Rather, after she busted him for drugs and flipped him to be her Ci (confidential informant), he treated her like a little sister when her marriage (to Scott Caan‘s Jason) fell apart and fed her tips while she was climbing the ranks. His intel led to a lot of arrests. Now, she realizes he killed his own dad and let someone else take the blame. Though Nikki doesn’t plan to do anything with it, she does use it as leverage to ensure the safety of a couple of people (the victim of the episode and his daughter). She declines Charlie’s offer ...

The past comes back to haunt Nikki (Dania Ramirez) on Alert: Missing Persons Unit in Season 2. As TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the March 12 episode reveals, it’s a messy (and mysterious) one. Ian Tracey guest stars as Charlie McGannon, an old friend of Nikki’s—and current Irish mob boss—who asks her for an impossible favor. “Owen Maloy’s my problem,” he says in our clip. “I’ll handle him. Got it?” Of course, that’s not going to work for Nikki. She even reminds him, “We’ve known each a lot of years. I don’t remember—ever—a moment where I worked for you.” Charlie suggests she think of it as a favor for an old friend. “I don’t recall us being friends, either,” Nikki says. “Don’t kid yourself, Nikki, I was there, remember? Treated you like a little sister when your marriage was falling apart.

Billy the Kid will be back on TV screens very soon.
MGM+ this week that Billy the Kid Season 2 will debut on Sunday, October 15, at 9 p.m. Et/Pt.
There is a little bit of a catch:
Four episodes of the season will air this year, with the final four being held until 2024.
A reason for the decision has not been revealed, but there's a good chance it has something to do with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Young death is tricky business. To do it justice, a movie would have to be awash in grief — and where’s the pleasure in that? The supernatural romance “Endless,” releasing on demand, tempers its mourning with lessons about mortality delivered by a couple of guys stuck on the other side. It’s a cheat, to be sure. But when the screenplay could have easily marooned the audience in a copycat purgatory.
When boyfriend Chris (Hamilton) dies, Riley (Shipp) blames herself for the wreck that killed him. Chris had been the laid-back champion of Riley’s artistic ambitions. He saw and nurtured her most authentic self. Riley’s parents, both lawyers, had plotted a Type-a trajectory for their only child. A graduating senior headed to her parent’s alma mater and then onto law school, Riley found in Chris’ embrace room to breathe, to draw graphic novellas, to just be. And now he’s gone.

"I hear your voice everywhere I go..." Quiver has released the official trailer for a romantic drama titled Endless, the latest from filmmaker Scott Speer, who seems to have a thing for young love films - making Midnight Sun and I Still See You before this. This is a story of connection despite tragedy: when madly in love high school graduates Riley and Chris are separated by a tragic car accident, Riley blames herself for her boyfriend's death while Chris is stranded in limbo. But miraculously they end up connecting. Both are forced to learn the hardest lesson of all: letting go. Starring Alexandra Shipp and Nicholas Hamilton, with DeRon Horton, Famke Janssen, Ian Tracey, and Eddie Ramos. This looks a bit like Ghost for a new generation, with a very handsome ghost guy reconnecting with his living love and helping her move on. Of course it's super emotional and sappy and cheesy,...

Season two of History’s Project Blue Book is over, and unless the show is picked up elsewhere, this could be the end of our UFO hunting dynamic duo. We caught up with Project Blue Book creator/writer/executive producer David O’Leary and showrunner/executive Producer Sean Jablonski to talk about what’s next in an interview Den of Geek live-streamed on YouTube and Facebook simultaneously.
“History has sort of opted out of the scripted series business,” says Jablonski. “Which is in some ways good for us, because the studio that produces and ultimately pays for the show is committed to finding another home for it like on a streaming service, which we feel could present a larger audience for us.”
Jablonski pointed out that Den of Geek got it right in a recent article covering the cancelation in that the cancelation was not due to performance. He says he...

It’s been nineteen years since Frank “Frankie Fingers” Carver (Nicolas Cage) has been a free man. He’s made the best of prison despite being there for a crime his mob boss Max (Dave Kenneth MacKinnon) committed. What other choice did he have? With his wife dead, his son (hopefully) a reformed junkie, and his money buried behind a home he no longer owns, there wasn’t much else to do but try and enjoy what little control he had over what was left. And since he was serving a life sentence for murder, it would of course mean one more tragic circumstance to earn this long sought after day in the sun. Rather than exoneration, Frank has been given clemency as a result of his own mortality. He’s dying.

"What if you get killed first?" "At least I get to take a few of them down with me..." Ready for more Cage madness? Rlje Films has debuted an official trailer for an indie action drama titled A Score to Settle, the latest from filmmaker Shawn Ku (Beautiful Boy). Nicolas Cage stars in this in another crazy indie role to go with all of his other crazy indie flicks recently. Cage plays an ex-enforcer for a local crime syndicate who has vowed to enact retribution on his mob bosses after 22 years of wrongful imprisonment. The only thing diverting his violent plans is a new found relationship to his beloved son. The full cast includes Benjamin Bratt, Noah Le Gros, Mohamed Karim, Karolina Wydra, & Ian Tracey. I'm not even sure just how much action this will have, but it definitely does look like it has the perfect amount of rage for Cage to rock.

Three episodes were provided prior to broadcast.
It’s somewhere around the explanation of Incorporated‘s bifurcated future world, wherein unemployed urchins rule the slums and sleek worker bees look down their noses from glossy high-rises, that Syfy’s new show peaks creatively. The vision echoes the futures of plenty of other sci-fi works (weirdly, I was reminded of the Ethan Hawke, us-vs-them vampire flick Daybreakers), but it has undeniably interesting ideas of its own.
Unfortunately, that exact moment where the show peaks creatively is in an opening credits scroll; the subsequent story navigating us through Incorporated‘s potentially bountiful near-future is sluggish and, as far as duplicitous business thrillers go, inert. Incorporated falls further along the high-quality end of the Syfy spectrum than, say, Aftermath or Hunters, but it’s far short of the network’s current best: The Expanse and The Magicians. Ten days out from its anticipated premiere, we have a host of exclusive – and darn well stylish – character posters to share for Crackle’s flesh-munching sequel, Dead Rising: Endgame.
Due to make its bow via the streaming service on June 20, the horror actioner largely takes place in East Mission City, an area irrefutably crippled by the zombie outbreak. In a bid to quell that devastating pandemic, the government hatches a plan to send the undead packing, but it’s one that will also entail massive collateral damage – the death of millions of innocent people.
Taking a stand against that scorched earth tactic are your new favorite band of zombie hunters, with today’s exclusive batch of posters spotlighting Chase Carter (Jesse Metcalfe), General Lyons (Dennis Haysbert), Jordan (Keegan Connor Tracy) and wacky scientist Rand (Billy Zane). The first trailer has been released for Legendary Digital's zombie film Dead Rising: Endgame, which is based on the popular video game franchise Dead Rising, and is also a sequel to the movie Dead Rising Watchtower. I enjoyed the first film and this new one looks like it will be just as entertaining.
Dead Rising: Endgame drops us into the zombie-infested quarantined zone of East Mission City where investigative reporter Chase Carter (Jesse Metcalfe) must stop a secret government conspiracy which, though seemingly aimed at ending the country’s zombie epidemic, will also kill millions of innocent civilians. Dead Rising: Endgame is based on the hugely popular Dead Rising video game franchise by Capcom, which has sold over 9.1 million copies worldwide.
Jesse Metcalfe returns to Dead Rising: Endgame as Chase Carter, the well-known television journalist who goes back underground to stop the military’s rogue operation and break the ultimate story.

East Mission City beckons, and there’s a government conspiracy to uncover in the latest trailer for Dead Rising: Endgame, the video game movie sequel that’s due to shuffle onto Crackle later this month.
With the majority of the urban landscape now under quarantine, Endgame picks up at a time when Chase Carter – played once again by Jesse Metcalfe, who reprises his lead role from Watchtower – begins to unearth disconcerting details relating to a massive cover-up that could go a ways to explaining the origins of the zombie virus running rampant in the city.
The truth, however, is far worse, when our chainsaw-wielding hero uncovers the government’s scorched earth approach to dealing with the zombie epidemic – one that will seemingly bring an end to the mutated infection at the cost of millions of innocent lives. On board to postpone the apocalypse are Billy Zane, Dennis Haysbert, Marie Avgeropoulos,...

Telefilm Canada has confirmed its financial support of nearly $13 million of Canadian tax payers' money towards the production of nine English-language feature films through the 'Canada Feature Film Fund', although there doesn't seem to be anything culturally 'Canadian' about most of their selections, other than the crews that will be working on them.
Among the films receiving money include a psycho horror with a demonic 'Santa Claus', a bio pic about a former Queen of Sweden, the 'relationship' between 'James Dean' and a photographer, a thriller involving a Satanic child abuse sex ring, and an inflatable Sex Doll drug smuggling story:
The films are "After the Ball" (Sean Garrity), "A Christmas Horror Story" (Steven Hoban, Grant Harvey, Brett Sullivan), "Aloft" (Claudia Llosa), "A Worthy Companion" (Jason Sanchez, Carlos Sanchez), "Life" (Anton Corbijn), "Regression" (Alejandro Amenabar), "Rest Home" (Michael Rowe), "The Girl King" (Mika Kaurismäki) and "Zoom" (Pedro Morelli...
