(Play): in 1998 for Yasmina Reza's "Art," and in 2000 for a revival of
Sam Shepard's "True West."
He was awarded the 2009 Tony Award for Director of a Play for "God of Carnage" on Broadway in New York City.
He and novelist/screenwriter David Nicholls were classmates at Bristol University.
