Rep. Ilhan Omar’s staff has contacted Twitter and asked then to remove President Donald Trump’s account and a tweet that cited a claim that Omar “partied” on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Earlier Wednesday, Trump posted a tweet with a link to actor and comedian Terrence Williams account in which Williams claimed that Omar was dancing on 9/11. Trump said of Williams’s tweet, “IIhan Omar, a member of Aoc Plus 3, will win us the Great State of Minnesota. The new face of the Democrat Party!”
The video was later discovered to be of Omar dancing on Sept. 13 at a Congressional Black Caucus event.
Omar said the President’s tweet continued “to spread lies that put my life at risk.” Omar claimed she has received threats. She appeared on CBS’s Face The Nation on Sunday and created a controversy by not addressing whether she understood the outrage generated...

HBO’s untitled pilot about the Showtime Lakers of the 1980s has cast two key roles.
Variety has learned that Quincy Isaiah has been cast as Earvin “Magic” Johnson, while Solomon Hughes will star as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the hour-long drama. The Johnson character is described as being as gifted in the game as he is magnetic in his life. His fast-paced, captivating style of play revolutionizes the sport of basketball even as his style of celebrity transforms the social fabric of the culture.
The Abdul-Jabbar character’s intelligence, talent, and political activism have made him a living legend but his introverted nature leads him to be misunderstood by not only the public, but his own teammates. He is deeply sensitive after a lifetime of betrayals, but the arrival of rookie Johnson sparks his gradual journey to open up to those around him; a quest that re-inspires his love of the game.

Reports are coming in saying that the Lakers are going to trade Sasha Vujacic and a first-round 2011 draft pick to New Jersey for forward Joe Smith as part of a three-team deal, the Los Angeles Times communicated on Tuesday.
The paper said the deal, which is seen as a dump of Vujacic's nearly $5.5 million salary, is conditional upon the 35-year-old Smith passing a physical.
It also involves the Nets trading forward Terrence Williams to the Rockets, a deal the Houston Chronicle reported would give New Jersey a 2012 first-round draft pick.
Smith and Williams were both kept out of Tuesday's game against Philadelphia, while Vujacic was kept from the Lakers' game in Washington.
Williams tweeted Tuesday a thank you to New Jersey fans while adding, "go Rockets."
