Born in Memphis, Tennessee, grew up in Arkansas where she now writes in
a restored 19th century log cabin, educated at The University of
Southern California and UCLA.
Worked as a reporter for The San Diego Union newspaper. Worked as an editor, writer and reporter for KFWB All News Radio in LA. Also worked at many other jobs including university, college and k-12 teacher, tech writer for Manhattan computer consultancy, fine art restorer and active environmentalist against clear-cut timber taking in the Arkansas Ozarks
She is twice a mother, five times a grandmother and once a great-grandmother.
