Since the news of Goodman’s death was announced on Monday (24 April), tributes have poured in from fans and friends, including his former Strictly co-worker Craig Revel Horwood.
Across both series, Goodman was highly respected by his colleagues and loved by viewers. Here are se-ven! of his best moments.
“Pickle me walnuts”
Goodman was known for his colourful turns of phrase when describing performances that particularly entertained him.
In 2007, he was particularly moved by a ballroom dance performed by eventual winner (and later judge) Alesha Dixon and professional dancer Matthew Cutler.

In the dead of night in the British countryside, all is still throughout an isolated house. The silence is initially broken by a ticking clock and a dripping tap, before a howling wolf outside stirs William (Wayne David) awake. This sound is followed by a woman crying in his bathroom, yet a look inside shows nobody in there. Star/writer/director/producer David highlights the situation well, as the lead struggles in isolation while haunted by visions of the woman he loves and a mysterious creature nearby.
The title Wolf Garden suggests what creature lurks outside, although the feature takes a different angle by focusing on the ramifications of the unseen terrors, as captured on people’s faces and in their actions. This decision could be due to budgetary constraints, yet it works...

In a year that saw the conviction of disgraced former Team USA doctor and Michigan State University physician Larry Nassar, the 2018 Espy awards took it upon itself to shine a light on the unity of the sexual assault survivors and celebrated the feats performed by female athletes over the past year. The show was hosted by former race driver Danica Patrick, the first woman to host the ESPYs since their inception in 1993.
In a somber, spine-tingling moment that brought several in attendance at the Microsoft Theater to tears, around 100 women took the center stage while singer Milck, an abuse survivor herself, sang her anthemic single, “Quiet.” Each woman in the group that filled the stage was representative of the “sister survivors” who spoke out against Nassar.
“Telling our stories of abuse over and over again in detail is not easy,” said Sarah Klein, a former gymnast and victim of Nassar’s abuse.

Earlier this week, James Wood made the ill-advised decision to criticize the premise of Luca Guadagnino’s “Call Me by Your Name,” which centers around the homosexual romance between a 24-year-old and 17-year-old. “As they quietly chip away the last barriers of decency. #Nambla,” the actor tweeted.
The first response, from “Call Me by Your Name” star Armie Hammer, was fairly humorous in the way it pointed out Woods’ hypocrisy: “Didn’t you date a 19 year old when you were 60…….?” The next, from Amber Tamblyn, was less so: “James Woods tried to pick me and my friend up at a restaurant once. He wanted to take us to Vegas. ‘I’m 16’ I said. ‘Even better’ he said.”

Here are all the rumours about the celebs still to be announced.
Aljaz posted the news on Twitter, with a picture which appears to show the pair in a restaurant with a fantastic skyline view.

Max Branning could be swapping Walford for the Australian jungle, as Jake Wood has admitted that he would consider a stint on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
The actor is taking a year-long break from his role in EastEnders, having been on the show since 2006, but admitted that he has no confirmed plans for what he will do in his time off.
Wood impressed the nation while taking part in last year's series of Strictly Come Dancing, and has admitted that the gruelling tasks in I'm a Celeb wouldn't faze him.
Speaking to Radio Times, he said: "I do really like that show. Everyone I've spoken to who's done it has said they really enjoyed it. I'm not squeamish - so eating strange stuff wouldn't bother me.
"It would be a good holiday for the family as well, wouldn't it? And the money would be nice. But...

EastEnders tested pre-watershed limits last night, with Carol Jackson (Lindsey Coulson) branding her scheming brother Max (Jake Wood) a "complete and utter bastard".
Carol's outburst is far from the most traumatic event to occur on the BBC One soap in its 30-year run - or even in the past 12 months - but her potty mouth certainly ruffled a few feathers, with 29 people grumbling to Ofcom.
"People will complain about anything," you might think - and you'd be right. Below are just a few of the complaints made to UK regulator Ofcom in the past year - from hypnotism conspiracies to getting het up over helium.
1. Four people were annoyed they couldn't guess who killed Lucy Beale
This isn't the first time in 2015 that 'Enders has come under fire - a quartet of angry viewers contacted Ofcom in February to complain about the 'Who Killed Lucy?' plot reveal.

Jo Joyner has said she would not appear as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, as she would be "rubbish".
The EastEnders actress won't be following in the footsteps of her co-star Jake Wood, who competed in the 2014 series.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other reporters, she said: "No - I'd be rubbish - and clearly live is not my forte! They did ask - they've asked a couple of times and I would love to learn to dance, but… I'm a bit competitive and if I wasn't going to win it, what's the point in doing it?"
The actress recently made a slip-up during the live shows marking EastEnders' 30th anniversary.
During a scene with Jane Beale (Laurie Brett), she referred to the character Ian Beale using the first name of the actor (Adam Woodyatt) who plays him.
The actress spoke out after the mistake, saying she was "upset" she had made it.

'EastEnders' actor Jake Wood hopes Max Branning didn't kill Lucy Beale as he doesn't want to lose his job. The 42-year-old star's character is one of the main suspects in the case because he was having an affair with the blonde beauty when she was murdered last year but Jake has confessed he hopes he isn't unveiled as her killer in Friday's (20.02.15) live episode as he loves his job on the BBC One soap. Jake Wood and Janette Manrara have become the 11th couple to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.
The EastEnders actor and his professional partner found themselves in the dance-off against reality star Mark Wright and his partner Karen Hauer, after the judges' scores were combined with viewer votes.

Wood and Manrara reprised their cha-cha to Kc and the Sunshine Band's 'Boogie Shoes', while Wright and Hauer performed their rumba to Eva Cassidy's 'Fields of Gold'.
Craig Revel Horwood decided to save Wright and Hauer, but Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli opted to keep Wood and Manrara.
Head judge Len Goodman - left with the casting vote - sent Wood home, explaining: "This is very difficult. The cha-cha-cha had little cha-cha-cha content and the rumba had little rumba content,...
