Roberta Zimber(1948-2003)

Roberta Zimber was a B.A. graduate of Aquinas College and received her
M.A. degree from the University of Michigan. She taught Speech, Drama
and The Humanities at Cass Technical High School in Detroit for 31
years. The favorite student play that she produced was "Fame" and she
absolutely loved producing Cass Drama Department plays. Multi-talented,
she would not only produce and direct plays she would also frequently
make costumes as she was a very talented seamstress. Well known in
local community and dinner theater circles, Roberta performed in
numerous productions ranging from "Come Back to the Five and Dime Jimmy
Dean" to a local short feature film, Hefty's. In Hefty's Roberta played
the waitress, working beside Sam Raimi who played a chef - never
imagining he would become the huge success he is today. Hefty's was
written by Dick Rockwell and produced and directed by John Prusak.
