- Was adopted as an infant by parents John and Nancy Phair.
- Plays the guitar and piano, writes all of her own songs, and is an artist.

- Relocated to Los Angeles with her son after splitting with husband Jim Staskauskas. Their divorce has yet to be finalized, and her ex lives right around the corner from her house.

- Is one of seventy acts scheduled to perform at the two-day music festival Lollapalooza 2005. Her fifth album, titled 'Somebody's Miracle,' will be released on Capitol Records October 4th, 2005, and contains 15 original songs penned by Ms. Phair. (July 2005)
