5 Lbs of Pressure follows Adam, an ex-con, as he returns to his neighborhood following a 16-year prison sentence for murder. Culkin’s character, Mike, meets Adam as he is searching for a way out of his uncle’s drug-dealing business. The two men embark on a journey to redemption.
“Mike is looking for a way out, he’s trying to carve his own path and he’s kind of blowing it the whole time,” Culkin told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “But I guess the whole film is about poor decisions and trying to redeem yourself. Some people are better at that than others.”
When asked how he tries to relate to a character like Mike, Culkin said he discussed the character with writer and director Phil Allocco.

Home Alone star Catherine O’Hara is opening up about one of the longest-running questions surrounding the hit movie.
If you forgot, the Schitt’s Creek actress played Macaulay Culkin‘s mom in the franchise. That means that her character lived in the iconic Home Alone house.
There have been a lot of questions about the home over the years, especially after a recent analysis revealed that it would have cost a sizeable fortune.
People now wonder how the fictional McCallister family afforded the home, and Catherine had a few theories.
Keep reading to find out more…
Speaking to People, Catherine hypothesized that her onscreen husband Peter (played by John Heard), “had his own religion.”
She joked that the “Church of the McCallisters” allowed them to amass the funds necessary to buy the house. Her other theory: “Maybe he inherited it… they inherited it.”
“I thought the house was pretty amazing,” Catherine added.

There are “child stars,” and then there are performers that start working during childhood only to become bona fide, beloved screen icons, enjoying long, varied careers throughout their lives. Following in the footsteps of Shirley Temple, Natalie Wood and Mickey Rooney, Macaulay Culkin has — for three decades and counting — been a contemporary standard bearer for that personal and professional journey.
Culkin became a full-fledged cultural phenomenon after the explosive commercial success of his fifth film, 1990’s “Home Alone,” which he made when he was just 10 years old. The film grossed $476 million worldwide, due in direct part to his mischievous-yet-vulnerable performance as Kevin McAllister. But beginning in his teenage years, Culkin began seeking projects that piqued his artistic interests rather than sustaining his immediate and colossal celebrity. Even without any expectation for those subsequent efforts to reach the same stratospheric heights as his early breakthrough, Culkin’s star wattage has barely flickered,...

There is nothing like a proverbial bond between one’s own offspring. The joys are finding your inner self within them. The feeling of self-fulfillment, reproducing your very own mini-me. The realization that you have much more purpose in this world than just being a cog in corporate America riding that 9-5 grind. Ah yes, the moments you share with your own child far outweigh the trials and tribulations of dealing with the everyday stress of adulthood. But what if that child has an embedded evil inside of them? What if their own volition comes with malice and harm? Would you cope with still accepting them as they were? Would you sleep with one eye open,...

Macaulay Culkin has been famous since "Home Alone" came out in 1990, when he was just 10 years old. In the years immediately after, he became perhaps the biggest child star on the 1990s, appearing in movies like "My Girl, "The Pagemaster," and "Richie Rich." But by 1995, he had decided to take a break from acting, and he's tried to keep his life pretty private since. That includes his relationship with fellow actor Brenda Song; the pair reportedly got engaged in January 2022, though they never confirmed that news publicly. And back in 2021, he and Song welcomed their first child, Dakota, named after Culkin's sister who died in 2008. Their second child, Carson, followed shortly after, and the pair have strived to keep their kids out of the spotlight, too.
Even before he met Song, Culkin has tended to keep his romances low-key, which is pretty understandable, given his lifelong experiences in the spotlight.

Succession features a stunning ensemble cast led by Brian Cox. The actor plays billionaire Logan Roy opposite Alan Ruck, Kieran Culkin, Jeremy Strong, and Sarah Snook. Much of the cast has received praise and accolades for their performances. And for Culkin, it marks the most lauded role of his career. Yet, even now, the actor refuses to speak with a notable pair of media outlets.

Even though he’s only 40 years old, Culkin has been working in the business for more than 30 years. The actor made his big-screen debut opposite big brother Macaulay in 1990’s Home Alone. In the years that followed, Culkin popped up in films like Father of the Bride, She’s All That, Music of the Heart, Igby Goes Down, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and Wiener-Dog.

Since it premiered on HBO in 2018, Succession has gotten a lot of attention for its performances, intricate storytelling, and high-stakes drama. But the show could inadvertently take one of its stars into a completely different genre going forward. Here’s how Succession just might lead actor Kieran Culkin down the road toward becoming an action movie star.

Culkin might have gained an entirely new fan base with his role as Roman Roy on Succession. But the actor has been working in Hollywood for more than 30 years. Culkin made his film debut opposite big brother Macaulay in 1990’s Home Alone and continued to work as a child actor throughout the decade, including films such as Father of the Bride, Nowhere to Run, and She’s All That.
Beyond that, Culkin has stretched his acting muscles in a variety of other projects.

Kieran Culkin is opening up about growing up with his massive and famous family in New York City. Kieran, who stars as Roman Roy on "Succession," is one of seven kids shared by Kit Culkin and Patricia Brentrup. The pair never married, though their split in the 1990s and ensuing custody battle became tabloid fodder because Kieran's brother Macaulay had become very famous after starring in 1990's "Home Alone" franchise. Kieran revealed in an interview with Esquire published March 27 that his dad - an actor himself - had all seven try to be actors, though only Macaulay (who his siblings call Mack), Kieran, and Rory pursued it seriously.
The family grew up in the Yorkville section of Manhattan, and Kieran says that even though he was just a kid himself, he felt bad for the way fame affected Macaulay's life. "Poor f*cking guy," he told Esquire of his brother.

Rory Culkin’s full-frontal nude scene in Swarm was inspired by one of creator Donald Glover’s own experiences.
The brother of Macaulay and Kieran Culkin plays a man who takes the main character Dre’s (Dominique Fishback) virginity.
After the hookup, Culkin’s character presents Dre with some strawberries placed artfully in a clear bowl, which he presses up against his penis.
In an interview with Insider at the SXSW festival, Glover’s co-creator Janine Nabers revealed that the scene was inspired by the singer/actor/writer/director.
“Donald told this very funny story about a girl who he really liked, and how after they hooked, he was standing there with a bowl of cherries, just being like, ‘Hey,’” Nabers recalled.
“She was like, so not into it, because it’s so weird to hook up with a guy that you barely know and then wake up with him holding a bowl of cherries.

The Philadelphia Story actor Jimmy Stewart was known for his signature voice and his ability to portray the average man on the silver screen. He rightfully went down as one of the greatest performers to ever grace the Hollywood scene. However, the industry itself didn’t always pay him the utmost respect. The Oscar that Stewart won for The Philadelphia Story had a major flaw that was impossible to ignore.

Stewart played nosy reporter Macaulay Connor in 1940’s The Philadelphia Story, a classic romantic comedy. A high-class woman named Tracy Lord (Katharine Hepburn) split from her husband (Cary Grant) as a result of his non-stop drinking and her high-maintenance personality. Next, she’s marrying the wealthy George Kittredge (John Howard), but she’s also hung up on Macaulay. Tracy must decide which man...

A washed-up actor is given another shot at movie-making but the set is being menaced by a fearsome creature in this enjoyably daft comedy romp
Some amiable inanity and enjoyable daftness is served up here by James Fleet in this British comedy horror romp: he plays Oliver Lawrence, a stage and screen actor of a certain age who was once very big playing a vampire in a string of sub-Hammer shockers. Now that these films have become very big in east Asia, our refined thespian has been prevailed upon to reprise his cheesy fanged demon in a new low-budget film, something undertaken in an uncompromisingly cynical spirit of money-grubbing.
But the old manor house the producer has rented for the shoot turns out to be menaced by a genuine werewolf – which is generically confusing as well as everything else – and two journalists arriving for a set visit have an awful experience.

Joe Pesci has recalled avoiding Macaulay Culkin on the set of the Home Alone films.
The Goodfellas actor appeared opposite the child star in the Christmas comedy and its sequel, Lost in New York, in 1990 and 1992, when Culkin was 10 and 12.
In the first film, Pesci played Harry, one of the two robbers attempting to break into the house of Kevin (Culkin), a child who is left behind when his family go missing.
The sequel, set one year later, finds Kevin stranded in New York City with the robbers in pursuit.
Despite Culkin’s age, Pesci, who is known for his method acting style, opted to stay away from his young co-star when they weren’t filming.
In a new retrospective on the sequel, Pesci told People: “I remember Macaulay as being a really sweet kid and, even at his age, very professional.”
However, the actor says he “intentionally limited my...

Actor Joe Pesci sustained “serious burns” on his head while filming a scene where his hat was set on fire in ‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’.
The 79-year-old star reprised his role as criminal Harry in the 1992 sequel and while he had a body double for the “real heavy stunts”, the actor still suffered various injuries as a result of the pranks played on his character, including having his hat set on fire by Macaulay Culkin’s Kevin McCallister, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Pesci said: “In addition to the expected bumps, bruises, and general pains that you would associate with that particular type of physical humour, I did sustain serious burns to the top of my head during the scene where Harry’s hat is set on fire.”
“I was fortunate enough to have professional stuntmen do the real heavy stunts.”

Joe Pesci starred as the hot-headed thief Harry in two “Home Alone” movies opposite Macaulay Culkin and Daniel Stern. In a new interview with People to celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Pesci looked back at the “demanding” physical comedy that went into making the family comedy. One prank in the sequel in which Harry’s hat gets set on fire left Pesci with “serious burns.”

Joe Pesci is looking back fondly on his time with “Home Alone”.
Speaking with People by e-mail for the 20th anniversary of “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York”, the actor said retaining the original cast and crew from the first film was essential. It gave the film “the same, if not more, energy and enthusiasm as the original.”
That’s not to say the sequel didn’t differentiate itself from the first. Pesci argued there was “more spontaneity and creativity on the set” due to the shared work experience.
“It was a nice change of pace to do that particular type of slapstick comedy,” Pesci recalled, who at that point had a number of dramatic roles under his belt including 1983’s “Easy Money” and 1989’s “Lethal Weapon 2”. “But the ‘Home Alone’ movies were a more physical type of comedy, therefore, a little more demanding.”
