The 1975 has cancelled upcoming shows in Taiwan and Indonesia after being officially “blacklisted” from Malaysia after frontman Matty Healy openly defied the country’s draconian anti-lgbtq laws while headlining a musical festival in Kuala Lumpur.
“I made a mistake when we were booking shows, I wasn’t looking into it. I don’t see the f**king point, right? I do not see the point of inviting The 1975 to a country and telling us who we can have sex with,” Healy told the audience at the Good Vibes festival on Friday, as reported by People.
“And I’m sorry if that offends you and you’re religious, but your government are a bunch of f**king… and I don’t care anymore. If you push I’m gonna push back. I’m not in the f**king mood. I’m not in the f**king mood anymore,” Healy continued, referencing Malaysian laws criminalizing homosexuality,...

When it comes to movie soundtracks, the Fast & Furious franchise excels. Over 22 years and 10 movies, the franchise has produced countless musical hits tied to its films. From classics like "2 Fast 2 Furious"'s "Act a Fool" by Ludacris and "Fast & Furious"'s "Blanco" by Pitbull and Pharrell to the more emotional offerings like "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth from "Furious 7," there's a Fast & Furious franchise hit for fans of any musical genre.
The franchise added another standout track to its roster with the May 18 release of "Angel Pt. 1." The song featured a lineup of musical artists from all different corners of the music industry: Nle Choppa, Kodak Black, BTS's Jimin, Jvke, and Muni Long. The music video featured high-octane clips from "Fast X" interspersed with the artists performing their verses passionately.

Today Disney+ has released a new trailer for the upcoming docu-special "Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming, with Dave Letterman." Not only are we getting a chance to watch U2's Bono and The Edge head back to Dublin, but they're also taking the talk show host with them for his first-ever visit to Ireland. The band members have been friends with Letterman for 25 years, but they've never been off U.S. soil together.
The whole thing is set to coincide with the release of U2's new album "Songs of Surrender," which is "a collection of 40 seminal U2 songs from across the band's catalog, re-recorded and reimagined." The use of "reimagined" is interesting here because, in the trailer, Letterman mentions the changing of lyrics to some of the songs as things have changed in their lives. He introduces the band members to a crowd at a concert, which...

Pale Waves’ tour bus crashed about a year ago, overturning and sliding off a road into the snow between Stockholm and Berlin while the band was on their way to a gig supporting Halsey in an arena run. Drummer Ciara Doran said everyone on board thought they were going to die. One of the people injured from the incident was Caroline Smith, the British rock band’s tour manager, who planned to take a week off to recover — but that week stretched into an entire year, as the pandemic locked down the live music industry.

Dua Lipa’s Thanksgiving-weekend Studio 2054 livestream was a smashing success: It drew five million viewers — a number that Lipa’s team says is a new record for livestreams — and brought a starry guest list that included Kylie Minogue and Elton John. Fans can definitely expect more livestreams from Lipa, her management team tells Rolling Stone.
But on a broader scale, Lipa’s show was also a highly successful guinea-pig case for the music business, which has been scrambling for nine months to design profitable alternatives to in-person concerts, as Covid-19 keeps live events at bay.

The 40th Brit Awards took place at London's O2 Arena on Feb. 18, with world-class artists coming together to celebrate the best British talent in the music industry. The lineup was incredible, with a powerful performance by Dave, plus international acts Lizzo and Billie Eilish taking to the stage along with some of the UK's best exports: Harry Styles, Stormzy, and more. But, of course, the entire reason for the concert is the actual award ceremony. Leading the charge with four nominations each were Dave and Lewis Capaldi, followed closely by Mabel and Stormzy, but ultimately, it was Dave who took out the award for album of the year.
