Actor Idris Elba and Empire star Taraji P. Henson collaborated for the first time in the feature No Good Deed. But it was a film that Henson joked she had to guilt Elba into doing.

No Good Deed saw Elba playing a villain in the 2014 thriller. Henson’s character attempts to help Elba in a bind, but her generosity backfires, and Elba ends up threatening her life.
Henson was on a mission to cast Elba in the film from the very beginning, especially since she hadn’t worked with him before.

Just one day after Deadline reported that Starz boss Jeff Hirsch's plan with the network is to end costly series after about four seasons while still keeping franchises alive, news hit that Power Book II: Ghost Season 4 will be its last.
But with the bad news comes the good. Ghost will not be gone forever, as Origins will be a prequel about Tommy and Ghost before they were the men we've come to know.
In the meantime, we've also got a trailer for Ghost and thoughts about it winding down.
For someone who’s fought every comparison to his father, Tariq is certainly looking a lot like his not-so-dearly departed father.
Coming hot off the heels of the Starz announcement that the Power universe is expanding yet again in the form of a Ghost and Tommy-centric spinoff, we got the sad news that the Og spinoff will be saying goodbye.

Fans of the Power franchise are losing Ghost again — but this time, it’s the series.
Starz has canceled Power Book II: Ghost, with the show’s fourth season to serve as its last. It will be broken into two parts, premiering June 7 and September 6. Watch the teaser above.
The move was prefaced by Starz CEO Jeffrey Hirsch this week when he revealed plans to contain content costs by developing more new shows versus sustaining series longer as they become more expensive.
Using the Power franchise as an example, he said: “You look at the [Power] map and say, ‘Ok, if I take one of those characters out and spin one of those out, I can bring that on to replace the Power show at half the cost.’ Now I’m putting a lot of money right to the bottom line. And I’m really not losing anything in terms of acquisition costs and subscriber viewership,...

This is Day 82 of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
There’s solidarity in the air in LA with a slew of writers continuing to join the actors’ picket lines after securing their own deal with the AMPTP.
As talks between SAG-AFTRA and the studio alliance restart, the picket lines, now focused on the actors requests, are still busy and, as seen this morning, full of “cautious optimism.”
Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer, whose upcoming NBC comedy Extended Family has shot the first six episodes, told Deadline, “The writers got real progress. I have constantly voiced my frustration with the AMPTP for not starting the negotiations a lot sooner. But it’s better than nothing.”
He added that he’s preparing himself for a deal “however long it takes.”
His biggest worry about the future of the entertainment industry, as it pertains to actors, is the “hollowing out of the industry.

For all of the murder and crime that occurs in Erotic Thrillers, more often than not, the police are barely present in the subgenre. If the protagonist isn’t a cop, there might be a detective on the margins or a beat cop taking a statement at a crime scene, but more often than not, law enforcement is typically absent.
Fatale upends this convention in part by fusing a stalker/infidelity storyline with a crooked cop plot wherein the jilted woman is also the film’s detective.
The film’s other novel twist, courtesy of screenwriter David Loughery, is that the central pairing is interracial. Loughery, who is white, is no stranger to exploring race in his screenplays: he co-wrote 2008’s Lakeview Terrace, in which Samuel L Jackson is a crooked cop who terrorizes neighbor Patrick Wilson, as well as 2009’s Obsessed, in which Beyonce must defend her marriage from obsessed white woman Ali Larter.

“I’m doing a new exercise today, so don’t take no offense,” Tiffany Haddish announces at the start of our interview (conducted over Zoom before the SAG-AFTRA strike). “But I want to see how I communicate with my eyeballs looking at the back of my eyelids.”
And true to her word, for most of the interview, she kept her eyes closed. It was a first for me. But for some reason it worked. Maybe it was because Haddish is so effortlessly charming and talented or because it is something that her character Danner on Apple TV’s brilliant “The Afterparty,” would do. Especially if she had a case to solve.

Michael Ealy has been a Hollywood heartthrob for the better part of his acting career, but he's been off the market ever since he married his wife, Khatira Rafiqzada, in 2012. Not much is known about how the two first got together, but according to People, Ealy and Rafiqzada dated for nearly four years before they quietly wed in a ceremony in Los Angeles - they didn't announce their nuptials until two months later. The couple have two children together, son Elijah and daughter Harlem.
Ealy prefers to keep his marriage and personal life pretty private, but he does post photos of his family every now and then on Instagram, especially when his wife's birthday rolls around. In a March 2020 Instagram post, the actor wrote of Rafiqzada, "A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection. The myth goes as such: at the end of it lies a pot of gold.
