The deal is not Eqt’s first in the agency sector. Last year, the company made an investment in UTA that made it the agency’s largest outside shareholder.

After months of anticipation, season five of Riverdale is back with new episodes in your favorite fictional town. The crew - Betty, Jughead, Veronica, and Archie - return to their beloved hometown after being away for a few years, and what they come home to is an unfamiliar place on the brink of destruction. There's no doubt that these old friends will do what they can to revive Riverdale.
The Covid-19 pandemic impacted the show's production, which meant that season five had to air in two parts. The first 10 episodes premiered in early 2021, with the latest episode airing at the end of March. After a midseason break that felt endless, Riverdale is ready to finish out the fifth season with new episodes beginning on Aug. 11.
While of course we're excited to see the final episodes of season five, we're desperate for even more Betty and Veronica shenanigans to look forward to.

Season 2 of Star Trek: Discovery looks like it’s going to change gears after the wartime setting of the first outing. Though the show’s debut run was received pretty well, its focus on non-traditional Trek fare certainly alienated some fans, which is possibly why the sophomore effort sounds like it’ll travel to some slightly more familiar territory.
Before we get there though, let’s revisit one of Discovery‘s best episodes yet, “Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad.” Inventive and exhilarating, it saw Rainn Wilson return as Harry Mudd, out for revenge on Captain Gabriel Lorca for leaving him behind on the Klingon prison ship a few episodes prior. Using a device that allowed him to loop time, the seventh installment of the first season took on an Edge of Tomorrow vibe as it had the crew reliving the same situation over and over again, forcing...

Is it too much of a stretch to say that Star Trek just wouldn’t be the same without Mr. Spock?
Whether it’s Leonard Nimoy or Zachary Quinto in the role, everyone’s favorite Starfleet science officer brings a calm intelligence to the bridge, and just the other week, we learned that Star Trek: Discovery had located its half-human, half-Vulcan after months of searching.
His name? Ethan Peck, star of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and 10 Things I Hate About You, who’s signed on to play the foster brother of Michael Burnham (The Walking Dead‘s Sonequa Martin-Green) in what’s shaping up to be a much lighter batch of episodes than the debut season.
And it seems Peck has already been welcomed into the extended Star Trek universe, after numerous people involved in the franchise took to Twitter to offer their support for the actor and express how...

Supergirl, Season 1, Episode 9, “Blood Bonds”
Written by Ted Sullivan & Derek Simon
Directed by Steve Shill
Airs Mondays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
The last episode of Supergirl saw numerous developments occur, from the attack by Non and the Kyptonians on Maxwell Lord’s research facilities to Cat revealing that she was aware that Kara and Supergirl were the same person. This week’s return tackles the aftermath of both storylines, further revealing Lord’s true intentions while delving deeper into what makes General Sam Lane tick and how he truly feels about Kryptonians and alien species, in an episode that unfortunately suffers from being overstuffed with too many developments.
Kara trying to determine her place between the humans and Kryptonians, and trying to get Hemshaw back while also attempting to prevent any mistreatment of Astra, makes for a compelling storyline. The question of Kara’s identity, and her attempt to find a place,...

Episode 8, “Hostile Takeover”
Written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa & Caitlin Parrish

Airs Mondays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
How a show with such a clearly drawn main character fails so greatly in focusing on a specific theme or story every week is truly baffling. It’s a telling sign about how badly Supergirl needs to work on its focus that an episode objectively about how Kara deals with not having powers on a day when National City goes through a massive crisis barely deals with that subject at all. “Human For A Day” is instead content to look towards a plethora of other action that barely has to do with Kara, if at all. “Hostile Takeover” too is more focused on the titular hero for only a fraction of the time,...

Supergirl, Season 1, Episode 5, “How Does She Do It?”

It is becoming increasingly clear that Supergirl quite simply doesn’t know what kind of story it wants to tell. It has the tone of a superhero procedural down, and the airiness that it seems to be aiming for is present, but everything else is all over the place to the great detriment of each episode. “How Does She Do It?” is the sloppiest of all episodes to have aired so far and in the most varied of areas. Not only are the A and B plots all over the place, but character motivations are unclear at best or the complete opposite of characterizations that have already been established at the worst. It is astonishing that there are so many moving pieces throughout the episode...

Emily Thorne is kind of a bada**, so it make sense that the red pen-wielding "Revenge" heroine is now the subject of a comic book. Thorne is getting the superhero treatment in a graphic novel called "Revenge: The Secret Origin of Emily Thorne," scheduled for release by Marvel Comics on Sept. 3. (Marvel and ABC are both parts of the Disney empire.)
"Revenge" producer Sunil Nayar tells USA Today that the novel will take place years before the start of the ABC hit, when 19-year-old Emily goes on her first mission after training under her revenge master, Takeda.
"The parts of the history we're bursting to tell is the origin of the woman you see that shows up in the pilot, as differentiated from the girl who was thrown into [juvenile detention] when her dad was taken from her," Nayar says.
The "Secret Origin" book was written by Erica Schultz and Ted Sullivan,...

Revenge, Season 2, Episode 19: “Identity”
Written by Joe Fazzio and Ted Sullivan
Directed by Charlie Stratton
Airs Sundays at 9pm (Et) on ABC
The second half of Revenge season has set right most of the mistakes made early in the season, with “Identity” proving itself to be one of the best episodes this shaky season has to offer.
The beginning of the episode finds all eyes turning to The Falcon. Watching Victoria scramble to hide her secret son from Conrad and the world while Emily and Nolan set about drawing the elusive hacker out into the open, using the Falcon’s own ego against them, is one of the best bits of the night.
Revenge has had a rough season but the biggest and most enjoyable surprise has been watching Nolan (Gabriel Mann) come into his own. His showdown with the Falcon, who turns out to be a woman named Edith,...

Revenge, Season 2, Episode 13: “Union”
Written by Michael Foley and Ted Sullivan
Directed by Wendey Stanzler
Airs Sundays at 9pm Et on ABC
In this weeks Revenge, people come together, things fall apart, and plans start falling into place.
Emily’s heartfelt confessional plea to Aidan in the graveyard is the standout scene of the episode. One of the show’s biggest issues has always been how cold Emily can seem. Of course that comes from a place that you can sometimes understand, but on occasion it can hold the viewer back from relating to her. “Union”, however, shows a softer side to Emily. She is hurting and, worst of all, a lot of that pain is of her own making.
That’s why she and Aidan make such a strong team. They’ve both lost everything and have nothing left but their plans of revenge. But this episode raises...

Revenge, Season 2, Episode 9: “Revelations”
Written by Ted Sullivan
Directed by Kenneth Fink
Airs Sundays at 9 pm (Et) on ABC
“Nobody plays dirtier than the Graysons.” Coming from Emily (Emily Van Camp), this is a particularly ironic statement. “Revelations”, Revenge’s winter finale, drops some pretty big bombs and ties up some loose ends. Although it does drag a bit in the middle, it manages to pick itself up, especially when we finally find out the real identities of Jack’s bar partners, Kenny and Nate Ryan.
The whole Jack/evil partners thing has run thin this season but the finale takes the storyline to a more interesting place. Now that Jack has his father’s gun and he knows their real identities it should lead to some better twists when the show returns.
Nolan starts the episode as a “sacrificial lamb reporting for duty” and by the end of...
