Abu Dhabi, Nov 5 (Ians/GloFans) With three back-to-back wins, a confident SunRisers Hyderabad (Srh) will be looking to march ahead in the Indian Premier league (Ipl) when they take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (Rcb) in the Eliminator at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium here on Friday.
Bangalore have suffered four consecutive defeats and the Virat Kohli-led side last tasted a victory against Kolkata Knight Riders nearly two weeks ago.
However, Rcb still managed to enter the playoffs, thanks to their first-half performances and the different permutations and combinations that went their way.
On Friday, Kohli and Co. will, however, face a must-win situation as another defeat will end their campaign. Young opener Josh Philippe (78 in 5 matches) is yet to score big after getting starts in the last few matches. Rcb may also decide to bring back Aaron Finch at the top order to partner Devdutt Padikkal (472 in 14 matches) who has...

Sharjah, Nov 2 (Ians/GloFans) Placed fifth in the eight-team standings with 12 points, SunRisers Hyderabad (Srh) are just a win away from securing a playoff berth and they will need to dish out something special when they face a rampaging Mumbai Indians (Mi) in the last league match of the Indian Premier League here on Tuesday.
With 18 points, defending champions Mi have ticked all the boxes so far and stopping their juggernaut will definitely be a herculean task for David Warner's team.
Srh must have drawn confidence from their consecutive two wins against Delhi and Bangalore. However, the challenge on Tuesday could possibly be a different once.
Warner, Wriddhiman Saha, Manish Pandey, and Kane Williamson, Srh boast a solid top-order, and they have a power-hitter in the middle-order in the form of all-rounder Jason Holder, who has been pretty decent in both departments of the game -- batting and bowling.

Sharjah, Oct 4 (Ians) Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma on Sunday won the toss and elected to bat in their Indian Premier League (Ipl) 2020 match against SunRisers Hyderabad at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
"We will bat first. It has been our strength and we will back that. It is a good pitch and the toss doesn't really matter," said Sharma. "The game against Kkr was also a perfect game. We have seen few games here, you have to believe and trust your instincts when you play in grounds like these. We are playing the same team," he added.
Srh have made two changes to their playing XI - Sandeep Sharma comes in place of injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shardul Thakur replaces Khaleel Ahmed.
"Definitely, we would have batted as well. We have seen some high totals here but it also gives a chance to the bowlers to pinch a couple of wickets,...

Abu Dhabi, Sep 25 (Ians/GloFans) It's a game between two currently bottom-placed teams. Twice champions Kolkata Knight Riders (Kkr) will face 2016 winners SunRisers Hyderabad (Srh) here on Saturday. So far, both have played one match each and lost.
After a dismal show against defending champions Mumbai Indians in their campaign opener, Kkr will face the David Warner-led Srh, who went down to Royal Challengers Bangalore in their tournament opener. Both teams will now be craving for a win to gain confidence.
With the likes of Andre Russell and Eoin Morgan in their middle-order, Kkr have the capability to overhaul any given target. However, the duo failed to capitalise against Mumbai and the Dinesh Karthik-led Kkr ended up on the losing side.
Despite the losses, both the sides are well aware of each other's strengths and will surely not take the contest lightly.
Against Mumbai, explosive Caribbean batter Sunil Narine...

Dubai, Sep 20 (Ians/GloFans) After finishing fourth in the 2019 Indian Premier League (Ipl), SunRisers Hyderabad (Srh) will start their present campaign with a game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (Rcb), who are looking for their maiden title, at the iconic Dubai International Cricket stadium here on Monday.
While Srh have clinched the trophy once in 2016, besides the 2009 triumph in their earlier avatar as Deccan Chargers, the Virat Kohli-led Rcb are yet to lay their hands on the coveted trophy.
For this year's edition of the lucrative league, the David Warner-led Srh have made a few changes in their squad. The 'Orange Army' will miss the services of ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who was released by the franchise after being banned by the International Cricket Council (Icc) for failing to report the approach of bookies elsewhere.
