We thought readers in the Los Angeles area would be interested in an upcoming signing event for The Victim, with Michael Biehn, Jennifer-Blanc Biehn, and Danielle Harris in attendance.
“Good time girls Annie (Jennifer Blanc) and Mary (Danielle Harris) find themselves in a life and death situation. Annie’s life is put in jeopardy when she is witness to a violent act at the hands of two Sheriff’s Deputies (Ryan Honey, Denny Kirkwood). With her pursuers closing in, she stumbles across Kyle (Michael Biehn, Terminator, Aliens, The Rock), a recluse living in the middle of the woods. A rugged loner, Kyle finds the stillness of the woods comforting. He keeps civilization at arm’s length; that is – until a single knock on his door throws his solitary life into chaos. Two worlds collide in this nerve-fraying thriller that will keep audiences guessing until the very last frame.”

Doug Jones, the versatile actor who has played some of the most well known characters in modern cinema, recently released a new book, Mime Very Own Book. He took some time from his busy schedule to speak to me about acting, toys, and mimes.
Mike Drake: You’ve done so many films and had so many great rolls. What character do most people recognize you as? Conversely, is there a character nobody realized was you?
Doug Jones: It all depends on where I am, or what type of event I’m appearing at, but the mainstream crowd knows me equally as the Silver Surfer and Abe Sapien from the Hellboy movies. The more artsy or horror crowds tend to know me as the Faun and Pale Man from Pan’S Labyrinth, as well as the Lead Gentleman from Buffy’s “Hush” episode. And the surprise...

From James Cameron to Robert Rodriguez, Michael Biehn has been in some great genre films. Terminator. Aliens. The Abyss. Tombstone. Planet Terror. Now, Biehn is directing his first genre film in The Victim, as well as playing Topher Grace’s dad in the 1980s sex comedy, Take Me Home Tonight from Universal. Killer Film catches up with Michael and his new projects. Read on!
Jon: IMDb says you co-directed Blood Bond, so what made you want to get back behind the camera for The Victim?
Michael Biehn: I wouldn’t say I co-directed Blood Bond. What happened was Bey Logan wanted my help on the film he was producing. So I said yes, and flew over to Hong Kong. I think he wanted a “name” to center the film on, but it wasn’t SAG affiliated. When it came to post, I still wasn’t paid, and I didn...

Continuing my "Road to The Victim", this time around I take on actor Denny Kirkwood who plays Cooger in the upcoming grindhouse flick helmed by Michael Biehn. Kirkwood also has a few more projects coming our way including a guest spot on ABC's Cougartown and developing his own script based on a true story. Check out my latest "Versus" with Denny Kirkwood.
Brian S- First off how did you get involved with The Victim?
Denny Kirkwood- Lorna Paul pitched me for the role to Jen. They produced it together and set up a meeting with Michael who wanted to make sure I had the right intensity to play opposite of him. Trust me, I'm intense. Michael saw that, believed in me, and I got the role.
Brian S- Tell me a little about your character.
Denny Kirkwood- He's an undercover narcotics cop but he's really a good guy...
