Christopher Neal Nelson (the long name due to the fact that there are
several Christopher Nelsons in the TV/Film Industry) is a competently
trained Composer (BA Music Theory and Composition, and a graduate of
the USC Thornton Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television Music
Graduate Cert. program), a Music Arranger comfortable in many styles,
and a working Jazz Musician (Piano) since his late teens.
Equally at home with Live Acoustic and Electronic/Digital Instruments,
he's Written (and/or Arranged) for several Television Shows -starting
with Daytime Drama (where he was named three times in Group Emmy
Recognition for Outstanding Achievement in Music), leading to
contributing Music for Sitcoms, Commercials, Dramatic Programs, and
Talk Shows, and eventually found a home Composing Music for several
Popular Animation Series.
His studio includes an assortment of Samplers, Synths, Outboard Gear, a
Yamaha C7 Grand Piano, various Mics, Genelec 1032A, Yamaha NS10, and
Auratone Speakers, an Argosy Console with Dual Digital Mixers, and
Macintosh Computers with Apogee I/O, and Skype accessibility.
