Mike Stewart is an award winning picture editor who has worked on many of Canada's highest-rated programs.
Recent credits include the CBC hits The Ron James Show and Battle of the Blades. Mike also edited the children's series Think Big for TVO and every season of Canadian Idol. He received Gemini Award nominations for his work on both productions. He also worked on the NBC comedy series Howie Do it hosted by Howie Mandel, and Are You Smarter than a Canadian Fifth Grader? for Global Television.
A highly creative and versatile editor, Mike also worked on the Discovery Channel's hit series Megabuilders, and a number of documentaries including the CBC series Comedy Gold and Bravo's Arts and Minds. Mike has also edited various short films and two feature films including the cult hit The Death of Alice Blue.
Mike's unique style and sharp story skills have earned him the respect of Producers and Broadcasters in Canada and the United States. He also brings passion and a keen understanding of music, film and theatre to his work. He has produced and edited a number of impressive demo reels and pilot episodes and is frequently sought after by production companies to produce and consult on this critical first step.
Mike's awards include a Golden Sheaf, 11 Promax trophies and two Canadian TVB Gold Medals. He is a graduate of the Sheridan College Media Arts Program.
