Miriam Sternlicht is a British composer and musician based in London, UK, who has dedicated herself to music for Film, TV and Media. Since 2018 she has been writing for publishers such as Superpitch, BMG, Klangidee, Bart Music Library, Pink Shark Music, Warner Chappell and various other labels around the world. She has also dipped her toes into the world of scoring for picture and completed her first job as an assistant composer in 2021 with 'Good Stuff.'
Miriam began her journey into the world of writing for media after taking the Hans Zimmer Masterclass in 2017. She believes Hans is solely responsible for setting her on this journey as his music was a major staple of hers as a teenager and she would use her hard-earned pocket money to buy his scores. She has always been fascinated with music, ever since she took part in the school choir as a young girl. She went on to learn piano and violin, while maintaining her love of singing by joining the high school choir and band and becoming a choir member of the London based, women's choir, 'The London Girls Choir'.
With 'The London Girls Choir', under the direction of Dena Cohen, Miriam got to tour America, performing in New York at Brooklyn College; Canada, performing at Places Des Artes; Israel, performing at Binyanei Haumah and parts of Europe including, Antwerp, Belgium; Manchester and London, UK.
Miriam's music could be described as emotive, fantasy-like and sometimes avant garde. She has the ability to create music that tugs at the heartstrings and always leaves you wanting more. You might also hear her experimenting with synths and she often likes to create hybrid synth/orchestral tracks with her signature flair.
As well as writing music full-time, Miriam has dedicated herself to the running of several composer-related groups on Facebook, including The Global Composers Network, Virtual Orchestration and Business Skills for Composers.
Miriam has also produced/script-edited three documentaries for production company 'Blackbird Pictures' based out of Carmel, Indiana.
