“I’m proud. I’m also sleepy. I don’t think it’s hit yet,” says Bishme Cromartie when he’s interviewed by fashion mentor Christian Siriano in the final “Project Runway” after show of season 20. Cromartie originally competed in season 17 of the design competition series but was eliminated in fourth place before he got the chance to show a collection. This time, not only did he show his full collection to the judges and spectators at NY Fashion Week, he won the grand prize too. Watch Siriano’s interview with Cromartie above.
Cromartie had an emotionally turbulent experience throughout this season on “Runway.” He seemed to be on the verge of withdrawing from the competition altogether in the season’s very first challenge, “Project Redemption,” because of how difficult it was to work while grieving the very recent death of his sister. He persevered, though, and his final collection even reflected his emotional journey,...

It was close but no cigar for “Project Runway” season 20 finalists Brittany Allen and Laurence Basse. They made it to the top three and showed their final collections, but alas, they finished as runners-up while Bishme Cromartie walked away with the grand prize. Mentor Christian Siriano talked with them one last time during the “Runway” post-finale after show. Watch it above.
“Making a collection in eight days is honestly just rude,” says Siriano. Indeed. In past seasons the “Runway” finalists have been given weeks to complete their full collections. But this time around the All-Stars had to put together eight looks in just eight days. It’s a miracle that the collections got done at all, let alone at the level of quality that Allen, Basse and Cromartie were able to make them.

[Warning: The below contains major spoilers for Project Runway All-Stars season finale.] Redemption was on the mind of designers taking part in Project Runway’s first-ever All-Stars season, which featured contestants from previous seasons of the Bravo show. During the milestone Season 20 finale, which aired Thursday, September 7, it came down to Bishme Cromartie, Brittany Allen, and Laurence Basse. For the last challenge, the final three were tasked with creating eight looks in eight days that really told the story of who they are in the fashion world. Along with mentor Christian Siriano, they had to impress judges Nina Garcia, Brandon Maxwell, and Elaine Welteroth, plus designer Zac Posen and Billy Porter, the Pose star who is no stranger to any runway. As the show reached its climax, Bishme was named winner. The self-taught designer from season 17 earned $250,000, a mentorship with the Cfda (Council of Fashion Designers of America), a feature in Elle magazine, and six months of...

Three designers, 24 looks, one nail biter of a finale. Project Runway wrapped Season 20 on Thursday with Bishme Cromartie, Brittany Allen and Laurence Basse facing off one last time with some of their most impressive creations to date.
With eight days to work, one eliminated designer for assistance and $10,000 at their disposal, all three finalists “delivered a unique vision and brought the drama,” to quote returning guest judge Zac Posen. These all-star designers have upped their game since appearing on their original seasons, and that growth was reflected in a trio of stunning runway collections.

It all came down to this. “Project Runway” season 20 ended on Thursday night, September 7, by deciding which returning All-Star contestant would take home the grand prize. For the first time, the final challenge was a race against time: the three remaining designers had to create their eight-look collections in just eight days — so you could think of this like eight one-day challenges all in a row. No rest for the weary. Helping to decide the winner were guest judges Zac Posen and Billy Porter. “Project Runway” judges made a mistake in deciding their final three for season 20. That’s according to the fans we polled after last week’s penultimate episode, “The Sky’s the Limit.” Scroll down to see our complete poll results.
SEERami Kashou’s ‘Project Runway’ designs, ranked worst to best
“The Sky’s the Limit” was the avant garde challenge. It brought the final four — Brittany Allen, Laurence Basse, Bishme Cromartie and Rami Kashou — to the Summit One Vanderbilt building in Manhattan where they took inspiration from the architecture of the space as well as the spectacular views of the New York City skyline.
Cromartie won the challenge for a look that used vinyl to mimic the reflective surfaces of a balloon room in the building. That earned him the first spot in the finale. Basse also got high marks from the judges for a complex architectural design that translated the geometry of buildings into a garment.

“I did use my Siriano Save on him, and I stand by my decision,” said Christian Siriano when he interviewed Rami Kashou on the “Project Runway” after show. Siriano and Kashou competed together in the fourth season of the reality competition series. Siriano won that season and has since returned to the show as a mentor. Kashou returned for season 20’s special “All-Stars” edition and was eliminated twice: in “Uncut Hems” Siriano vetoed the judges’ decision and kept Kashou around, but in “The Sky’s the Limit” Kashou was ousted for good. Bishme Cromartie came ever so close to winning “Project Runway” when he was last on the show back in season 17. Just how close was he? Well, he made it to the final four and assembled his full 10-look collection, but there was one last challenge before the end and that cost him his opportunity to actually show his collection. Going home too soon can be rough, but I can only imagine how tough it is to get so close to the end only to be denied at the very last minute. Cromartie was a man on a mission when he returned to the show for “All-Stars” in season 20, though. Click above to see all of his looks, ranked from worst to best.

Bishme Cromartie came thisclose to the “Project Runway” finale when he last competed on the show in season 17. How close was he? “I was honored to be asked back. Was the Project Runway playing field even on the Below Deck episode? Designers Prajjé Oscar Jean-Baptiste and Anna Zhou both ended at the bottom with their designs for Captain Sandy Yawn and Captain Jason Chambers.
Meanwhile, Bishme Cromartie dominated with his chief stew uniform for Aehsa Scott. Also, other crew designs impressed the judges, but they allowed for more liberty because of their lower rank. Ultimately, Anna went home for Captain Jason’s look.

“Project Runway” season 20 is halfway over and the competition is down to its top eight. So who’s going home next in tonight’s denim-centered episode “Uncut Hems”?
Last week only a handful of “Runway” fans who made their predictions here in our predictions center correctly bet that Fabio Costa would be sent home in “Fashion, Inside Out,” but more of us probably should have seen it coming. Costa had struggled the two weeks prior. He got low scores in “Seeing Red” and “Like Totally ’90s,” both times with looks that Nina Garcia deemed too subtle, quiet, and safe. Costa seemed confused by that description of his work, so he was thrown off in “Inside Out.” He made an effort to pump up the volume on his design this time, only to be told that he needed to edit this one down. Sometimes you just can’t win.

Who will be out next on “Project Runway”? Fans have been placing their bets here in our predictions center since last week’s show. Click here for our complete odds for episode seven, “Fashion, Inside Out,” in which the designers must create looks featuring couture undergarments.
Last week’s results took many of our users by surprise. Kayne Gillaspie, after all, won the season premiere design challenge and got a high score immediately thereafter in “Toying with Fashion.” But his unconvincing attempt at grunge put him on the chopping block in “Like Totally ’90s.” Our odds weren’t completely off the mark, though: Gillaspie was one of the top three designers we were predicting for elimination, and he’d come thisclose to elimination a couple of weeks earlier in “Coronation Day.”

Given that last week’s Project Runway ended with half of the designers in tears, we expected Thursday’s follow-up to further explore the issues that led to those chilling final words: “This is going to divide us.”
Instead, Episode 6 opened with a brief chat between Anna Yinan Zhou and Korto Momolu, quickly wrapping up what was a seemingly complicated situation.

Hester Sunshine was eliminated from “Project Runway” last week in episode five, “Seeing Red,” when the designers had to create looks using the same bolt of red fabric. Unfortunately for Hester, it was a material she was unaccustomed to working with, so she ended up with fit problems and construction problems that she was never able to iron out, so to speak. So who’s next to face the fashion firing squad when the designers get nostalgic in “Like Totally ’90s”? Scroll down for our live blog with developments and commentary throughout the episode.

What does it take to win a design challenge on “Project Runway”? That’s the question the designers face every week on the fashion competition series where one day you’re in and the next day you’re out. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so the judges’ tastes and expectations can be a moving target. But there are a few generally consistent ways you can impress the panel: be original and forward-thinking, be modern, demonstrate a clear and consistent artistic vision, and for the love of God don’t be boring. All things being equal, it’s better to be ambitious than to play it safe. Scroll down to see who met those high standards and won their challenges every week in season 20, which was a special “All-Stars” edition of the series.

The only thing more ruffled than Anna Yinan Zhou‘s look on this week’s episode of Project Runway were the feathers of her fellow designers.
Thursday’s challenge required the 11 remaining contestants to craft ensembles that conveyed their unique points of view. The catch? They all had to use 15 yards of the same red fabric, resulting in “a lot of very similar looks,” according to judge Nina Garcia, who was also disappointed by how many minimalist designs and simple draped looks she spotted on the runway.

‘Project Runway’ 20 episode 5 recap: The latest challenge has the designers ‘Seeing Red’ [Live Blog]
It has already been a topsy-turvy All-Stars season on “Project Runway.” The first challenge was all about redemption from past fashion sins and brought up such painful memories for one designer that he nearly self-eliminated. Then we went straight into an unconventional materials challenge where Mila Hermanovski was eliminated in a controversial result. And there was another surprise ouster in “Coronation Day” when Viktor Luna was sent home despite winning the previous challenge; our readers didn’t exactly agree with that one either. So how does the show follow all that up? Follow along below for our live blog of the episode “Seeing Red” with all the night’s developments as they happen.

In fashion, one day you’re in and the next you’re out. That’s the guiding principle of “Project Runway,” now in its 20th season. Even in a year like this, which brings together experienced All-Star contestants from the show’s history, some outfits are bound to fail. The fashion design competition has strict time limits and no seamstresses around to help you sew, which can trip up even the most gifted artists. So who had the worst looks of the season according to judges Nina Garcia, Elaine Welteroth, and Brandon Maxwell? And did you agree with their withering criticisms? Scroll down to see each unfortunate look.

“Project Runway” season 20 went straight from the season premiere into the unconventional materials challenge, which always pushes the creativity of the designers to the limit. Last week’s “Project Runway” had a bit of a surprise ending. “Toying with Fashion” was an unconventional materials challenge where designers had to obtain their supplies from Fao Schwarz. Laurence Basse expressed disdain for the challenge from the beginning, and judge Nina Garcia chided her for not even trying. But they sent home Mila Hermanovski instead for an unfinished look without a point of view. Will we be surprised again this week?

“Project Runway” returned on June 15 with a “Project Redemption!” challenge intended to rewrite history. The All-Star contestants had to take their worst looks from their respective seasons of “Runway” and reinvent them (and hopefully improve them). Bravo’s Project Runway is back with its most epic competition yet. Season 20 of the fashion design competition series returns this June, and it brings together 14 beloved designers from past seasons for a high-stakes, all-star outing.
‘Project Runway’ Season 20 premieres June 15

In the two-part season premiere, the designers return to the workroom to fight for one last chance to wow the judges and walk away with a career-changing win. As the fate of the bulk of The CW's scripted series remains Tba, the network has picked up another Canadian import.
Son of a Critch is set to air on the network this summer.
The series is a coming-of-age story based on the childhood and adolescence of Canadian comedian Mark Critch.
At the beginning of the series, 11-year-old Mark is growing up in 1980s Newfoundland, where he navigates starting junior high school, making friends, and connecting with the small collection of people in his limited world.
“When I was a young kid watching American TV in the ‘80s, I never dreamed that one day my own story would be beamed back over the border,” said Mark Critch.
“Having enjoyed so many CW shows with my own family, I’m excited to invite our American friends over to ‘my house.

Can anyone beat Sebastian Grey on “Project Runway”? Even when he doubted himself so much he was tempted to quit the show entirely, he has been one of the judges’ favorite designers, and now that the show is down to its final three contestants going into tonight’s season finale he seems stronger than ever. As of this writing he gets leading odds of 8/15, according to the combined forecasts of over a hundred “Runway” fans who have made their predictions here in our predictions center. Do Garo Sparo or Hester Sunshine stand a chance?
There was a surprise last week in the penultimate episode of the season. In a final challenge to decide which three designers would get to show their collections out of the four finalists, we assumed Sunshine was in trouble. Before the final four she had a couple of rough challenges that threatened to derail her progress.
