After playing Fantastic Fest, Where the Devil Roams is coming exclusively to Tubi soon. While you wait for a premiere date, you can exclusively watch the movie’s official trailer below.
“Set during Depression-era America, Where the Devil Roams follows a family of murderous sideshow performers as they travel the dying carnival circuit.”
Toby Poser, Zelda Adams, and John Adams star in the film, as well as write and direct.
Variety previews, “Hugely ambitious, the film’s first 16 minutes packs a black and white prologue where a legless orator recites to a packed theater a poem about fallen angel Abaddon.”

There is something about a carnival. Something mysterious. Maybe even a tad dangerous. In the midst of a humdrum existence, a carnival feels like one of the last places left where magic may still exist. It’s here one day, gone the next. A world unto itself that sets up in new places, inviting us into its arms for one or two nights at a time, before vanishing, taking its magic along with it. It is populated by people living their lives on the edge of society; just close enough for us to see and interact with when they choose, before closing the curtain and retreating to their own little world. Performers who thrill, challenge, and play with their audience before disappearing like ghosts, leaving us behind in the ordinary world.
That mysterious nature has been bottled on film a handful of times. Tod Browning’s Freaks, the HBO Carnivale series,...

“Excuse me, that isn’t … is that … Suits?”
This was me at the barbershop a few Saturdays ago. I was fifth in line for a haircut and trying to focus on my new library book, but my attention kept being drawn to the TV set, which was not only showing the legal drama, which ran from 2011-19 on USA, but showing its very first episode. Though I didn’t watch the series for long, I remembered that debut very well, having reviewed it a dozen years and several websites ago.

Woody Harrelson has caused controversy by making an anti-vax joke during his opening monologue on Saturday Night Live.
Appearing on last night’s episode (25 February), the True Detective star, 61, told a long and rambling story about the “craziest script” he’s ever read.
He took about six minutes to get to the punchline, after getting distracted talking about smoking weed, his love of drinking and what kind of tree he was sitting against when he read the script.
Eventually, he concluded: “So the movie goes like this. The biggest drug cartels in the world get together and buy up all the media and all the politicians and force all the people in the world to stay locked in their homes.
“And people can only come out if they take the cartel’s drugs and keep taking them over and over.”
The actor told an awkwardly quiet crowd: “I threw the script away.

Newspapers across the country are pulling the “Dilbert” cartoon after a podcast racial rant from creator and author Scott Adams.
Adams said on his his Coffee with Scott Adams online video program that white people should “get the hell away from Black people,” labeling Blacks as a “hate group.”
The Dilbert cartoon is a satire on office politics and has been around for more than three decades. It has spawned a media empire featuring dozens of books, a video game, an animated television series, and thousands of coffee cups and related merchandise. In 1997, Adams received the National Cartoonists Society Reuben Award, its highest honor.
Update: On Saturday, Adams suffered a major blow.
Boom! This action by the @Usatoday Network means that racist Scott Adam’s “Dilbert” comic strip will no longer appear in more than 200 newspapers across the country.

Two days after about a dozen neo-Nazis harrassed ticketholders and ticketbuyers outside the Broadway venue where Parade had begun previews, New York Mayor Eric Adams addressed an audience at the musical last night, saying, “When we fill a theater, we send a message out there that this is not a place where hate lives.”
Adams took to the stage at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre prior to last night’s performance, introduced by the musical’s director Michael Arden. (See video below.)
“We have the largest Jewish population outside of Tel Aviv,” Adams told the Parade audience, “and when you come out and really cross-pollinate ideas and culture, that’s the beauty and a symbol of New York City.” The mayor said that the antisemitic protest outside the theater Tuesday night “was not the New York spirit we love – this was hatred, this was bigotry.”

With a sequel series now available on Netflix, That ’70s Show has been back under the spotlight in 2023. The TV show produced many notable stars in its main cast, but going back and watching those old episodes has revealed some major guest stars. The kind who was vastly underrated back when the series was still airing.
One of the most famous, Amy Adams, is the perfect example of why no job is too small to take. Her career began with one-off sitcom appearances, and now she has six Academy Award nominations to her name. But was that evident when she appeared on That ’70s Show?

Chris Harrison parted ways with “The Bachelor” in 2021 under a cloud of controversy when the longtime host of the reality dating show was hit with backlash when he defended contestant Rachel Kirkconnell attending an antebellum-themed plantation party when she was a college student.
Harrison was replaced by Jesse Palmer on “The Bachelor” and Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe on “The Bachelorette”.
Since Harrison’s exit, however, ratings have plummeted; the current season, featuring Bachelor Zach Shellcross, is hitting record low ratings. Just last week, in fact, some reports claimed that ABC was investigating the idea of bringing Harrison back into the fold (something ABC reps have reportedly denied).

Immediately after losing on his first Screen Actors Guild Awards outing to Michael Keaton (“Dopesick”), Evan Peters is back in the running for the organization’s Best TV Movie/Miniseries Actor prize. With his new bid for “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” the former “Mare of Easttown” nominee follows James Garner, Gary Sinise, and Tom Wilkinson as only the fourth back-to-back contender in his category’s history. At 36, he also surpasses Sinise (who was 40 on his second bid in 1996) as the youngest person to ever be nominated twice by the guild for limited series or telefilm acting.
None of Peters’ current competitors are SAG Awards newcomers, but only Steve Carell (“The Patient”) joins him in having been previously recognized for TV work. Two of the 12 nominations he received for “The Office” led to comedy ensemble victories (2007-2008), and he also has a film cast win to his name for 2006’s “Little Miss Sunshine.

The Best Supporting Actor Oscar category is seeing double yet again. Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan received nominations as expected for their turns in Martin McDonagh‘s “The Banshees of Inisherin” on Tuesday, marking the fourth consecutive year a film has received double bids in the category.
“Banshees” is the 22nd film to achieve this, but most remarkably, five of them have occurred in the last six years after a 26-year dry spell. “Bugsy” (1991) produced noms for Harvey Keitel and Ben Kingsley, but the category went without co-star nominees until McDonagh’s “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” (2017) yielded bids for Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson. After none the following year, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci garnered comeback noms for “The Irishman” (2019). Two years ago, Oscar voters shocked us all by nominating Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield — you know, they who played the title characters in that two-hander “Judas and the Black Messiah” — in supporting.

Hyland wasn’t surprised that the comments were not controversial – Harrison remembered Adams as a supportive figure in the “Bachelorette” community. “Everybody loves Wells,” she said.

Hyland and Adams first met in 2017 after the former "Bachelor in Paradise" star slid into her DMs. They eventually got engaged in 2019, and despite a few setbacks due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they officially wed last year and celebrated with a honeymoon in the Maldives.

Ben Masters, who appeared three times on Broadway in the 1970s before starring as the philandering billionaire Julian Crane during the entire run of the NBC/DirecTV soap opera Passions, has died. He was 75.
Masters battled dementia for several years and died Wednesday of Covid-19 complications at Eisenhower Health Center in Rancho Mirage, California, a family spokesperson announced.
On the big screen, Masters appeared in Bob Fosse’s All That Jazz (1979) with Roy Scheider, in Key Exchange (1985) with Brooke Adams and Danny Aiello, in Dream Lover (1986) with Kristy McNichol and in Making Mr. Right (1987) with John Malkovich.
On Passions, which ran from 1999-2008, Masters’ Julian had an affair and a son with Tracey Ross’ Eve and a long, tumultuous marriage with Kim Johnston Ulrich’s Ivy. He also was presumed murdered in 2002, but it turned out he wasn’t, and he was back on the show months later.

For the first time since his 2021 exit from the “Bachelor” franchise, Chris Harrison is speaking out at length. During the first two episodes of iHeartRadio’s “The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever…With Chris Harrison,” which dropped on Sunday evening, he admitted that he was “heartbroken” and “gutted” by the controversy.
“I was embarrassed. I was mad at myself. I was disappointed in myself. The last thing in the world I ever wanted to do was be an agent of anything negative — whether it had to do with race or anything,” Harrison, who hosted “The Bachelor” and its spinoffs from its debut in 2002 until his 2021 exit, said. “Things spun out of control for a number of reasons and I was sick, sick to my stomach. I lost 20 pounds. I didn’t sleep. I didn’t eat. I was scared to death… It was just one gut-punch after the other, and mentally...

Las Vegas, Jan 9 (Ians) Cruz, the company founded by former Apple employees, has created an over-engineered portable blender named ‘Blendercap’, which was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023.
About a year ago, Dakota Adams and Matthew Moore quit their jobs at Apple to make this portable blender, reports TechCrunch.
“I was going to CrossFit, and I wanted a protein shake after that. I made myself a shake, and it just got sort of melted and lumpy after you have worked out for an hour or two,” Adams said in a statement.
“Then the idea came along to put a blender onto these Hydroflask-style bottles. Matthew Moore and I became friends and began working on how to pack that technology into a tiny little cap.”
At that time, both of them were building a battery factory for Apple in China and were working on the blender on the side.

How well does Bachelor Nation’s Tayshia Adams know wild animals, music, Harry Potter, and more? That’s the question for her in the July 31 episode of The 100,000 Pyramid, and TV Insider has an exclusive sneak peek. Adams is going head-to-head with former Bachelor Matt James, and in this clip, it’s her turn to see how well she does in the word-association game, working with Neeraj Srinivasan. “A wild animal … it’s kind of like a rhino,” he offers for “hippopotamus” but has to pass. Adams does get Spotify relatively quickly with his clue of “this is where you listen to music, not Apple Music.” Srinivasan singing for “teapot” also yields the right word, as does “I’m going to Home blank to get some tools” for “depot.” But when he tries to use a Harry Potter clue — “Professor Snape teaches…” — for “potion,” she guesses “pottery.” Watch the clip above for more,...

Sydney Sweeney offered a glimpse into her career insecurities and the realities of fame in a new interview. In a feature published by The Hollywood Reporter on July 27, the "Euphoria" actor opened up about the stigma against young women with children in Hollywood, revealing she's "always wanted to be a young mom" but was worried about how it would impact her career. "I want to have a family," Sweeney shared with the outlet, declining to comment on her relationship status. (She's reportedly engaged to Chicago restaurant owner Jonathan Davino.)
"If I just acted, I wouldn't be able to afford my life in LA."
She recalled receiving advice from her "Sharp Objects" costar Amy Adams on balancing work and family, which Adams "assured" could be done. "I'm worried about how this industry puts stigmas on young women who have children and looks at them in a different light," Sweeney said. "I was worried that,...

During the time she was married to Joe Strummer starting in 1995, Lucinda Tait would often hear her late husband at work in the kitchen of their house in Broomfield, in southwest England. “He had a typewriter, an old-fashioned one that would go ‘clack clack,'” Tait recalls. “When I went to sleep at night, I’d be upstairs and hear him tapping away at the kitchen table.”
Strummer’s wildly influential former band, the Clash, were long in the rear-view mirror by then, and Strummer had recently formed his latest combo,...
