Kitti Katz is another Netflix animated series, this time for teenagers that, with a Catwoman in High School style (as strange as this may sound) will try to win the hearts of the youngest.
We warn you that this is not exactly Disney, and the series must be taken with the perspective of having all the time in the world: it does not stand out for its animation nor the characters come “alive” thanks to the computer, it is more a series that aims to amuse and, mixing youth with new-fangled superheroes, give us entertainment in small pills of twenty minutes.
Which is not bad either.
Kitti Katz (2023)
A simple series, very much in line with the latest animated installments of the streaming network that, without standing out in the technical aspect, comes to, yes, fatten a very important catalog at the production level. And the truth is that these series count a lot,...

BBC World Service today (25 April) announces the launch of Fukushima, a new seven-part drama series exploring the 2011 nuclear disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Japan.
In March 2011, the largest earthquake ever recorded in Japan’s history triggered a tsunami which sent five to ten metre waves into coastal towns and cities, killing thousands.
Water barrelled over the seawall protecting the Fukushima nuclear power plant, flooding its basements and cutting power. It led to the world’s most severe nuclear accident since Chernobyl.
The stricken power plant became a ticking timebomb, a threat to life in Japan and beyond. As the energy company and politicians in Tokyo lost control, the reactors became unstable and a “suicide squad” of older workers was sent inside.
Akiko is a journalism student who, 10 years after the disaster, goes in search of the story behind the headlines, of how it unfolded and the consequences for the country.

The stage adaptation of Studio Ghibli animator Hayao Miyazaki’s classic 1988 film My Neighbour Totoro, officially opening Tuesday night at London’s Barbican Theater, has attracted immense interest from the international theater community. Stage producers and theater owners from New York, Paris, Australia, Korea, Canada and Australia have been tracking the progress of the production being presented by composer Joe Hisaishi and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
“There has been a lot of interest,” Griselda Yorke, the show’s executive producer for the RSC, told Deadline. “Lots of people are coming to see it, which is really gratifying. But there’s nothing more concrete than that it’s sparking a lot of interest at this stage of the game.”
Yorke said the fact that so many members from film and theater communities “are coming from all over the world to see it” is a tribute to the collaboration of the RSC,...
