FBI Season 6 can best be summed up in two words: Treading water.
Collins Dictionary defines treading water as "to be in an unsatisfactory situation where you are not progressing, but are just continuing doing the same things."
Ok, so maybe that definition is a little harsh when it comes to describing the latest FBI season.
Its powers-that-be did give viewers a dash or two of character development. Not the average amount they would have received from an entire season, but some.
Questions about the impact of those changes in the characters' lives will have to wait for the next complete season to be answered.
Yet ever present were those "ripped-from-the-headlines" storylines for which Dick Wolf is renowned.
The terrorists, the possibility of Armageddon, and the tense takes on terrible threats remained front and center. If anything, this procedural became even more procedural, if that's possible.

This was a much-overdue showcase for Oa that finally addressed the effects of his time with the Army in Afghanistan.
Not surprisingly, a case involving several Taliban on FBI Season 6 Episode 11 stirred things up for him.
And, frankly, you can never go wrong with a guest turn by Kate Burton portraying a weaselly politician.
It wasn't readily apparent why the FBI even got called in on an abduction of a random guy from his apartment building.
It must have been because NYPD discovered his boss was Leo Grant, the world's third-richest man, and they didn't want the inevitable pressure from above. Or maybe they passed it off because Tyler had wealthy parents, which would also lead to outside interference.
Oa was just relieved to get a call about any case so he would have an excuse not to explain the most painful time in his life to Gemma.
This again...

Tonight on CBS’ FBI, viewers will be made privy to a “darker” aspect of Special Agent Omar Adom “Oa” Zidan’s past.
In the season’s antepenultimate episode, “No One Left Behind,” Jubal’s team is thrown into a highly political case after four members of the Taliban are shot and one is kidnapped in New York — with no record of them ever entering the country. Having served in the U.S. Army, the case will hit very close to home for Oa (played by original cast member Zeeko Zaki), who in turn struggles to open up to Gemma (guest star...

It was predictable that a kidnapped pregnant woman would have an emotional impact on the sudden new mother, Maggie.
She ended up becoming extra invested during FBI Season 6 Episode 10.
And the events of the case should definitely affect Maggie and the team.
Again, in the beginning, it was a most tenuous case for the team even to be taken on after a federal security guard got killed while essentially showing off for his disinterested online date.
The NYPD officer at the scene should have pronounced the guard a moron for his actions and not bothered the FBI.
But then they would have missed out on a case that got more interesting as it went, finishing up with that old trope, a showdown with a heavily armed radical religious cult.
At least Maggie's state of mind at being forced into motherhood finally got tackled, rather than just being lightly alluded to...

With three episodes left to air in Season 6, CBS’ FBI appears to be taking a veteran team member out of the field.
The April 23 episode, “Family Affair,” revolved around the abduction of a pregnant woman, Denise, by her cult leader father. With a begrudging Ok from the Atf (which had been keeping eyes on the cult’s well-armed commune), the FBI team launched a plan to find and rescue Denise. Scola posed as the weekly food delivery driver, with Maggie and Oa hiding in the back of his truck. After Scola pulled up to the commune’s main house, Maggie...

That was a philosophical debate that was long in coming.
Stuart and Nina wrestled with a question that plagues many professional couples in dangerous jobs on FBI Season 6 Episode 9.
In their case, the problem is on steroids, as there's an infant son involved as well.
And, just to ratchet things up a bit more, they had to pose undercover as a couple as the team attempted to solve the murder of a well-respected and now retired FBI agent.
No pressure whatsoever.
It was good to see that even highly skilled professionals who are parents to an infant still have to deal with sleep loss. There's just no getting around it.
Scola was overreacting with his talk of taking separate transportation on a trip just to improve their chances of at least one of them arriving alive and being there for their son.
Nina did well in minimizing the eye-rolling and the sarcasm he deserved,...

So this is what Tiffany gets for a spotlight episode?
She spent most of FBI Season 6 Episode 8 running off half-cocked, which was so unlike her.
That's because Tiff was still blaming herself for the death of Hobbs on FBI Season 6 Episode 1.
At the time, it seemed like the producers were simply following up on the promise of a big agent death. Instead, it was like "Who?" with the rest of the hour spent fleshing out Hobbs' character so the viewers could feel something.
Has Hobbs' name even come up over the past couple of months? If so, I missed it.
You'd think that the first agent on the scene during a fellow agent's death would have had to undergo some extensive on-screen counseling.
Instead, it appears that Tiffany must have received an offscreen, monosyllabic session with Isobel:
Isobel: You good?
Tiffany: I'm good.
Isobel: Ok. Get back to work.

This is what happens when Isobel leaves the office for any length of time.
She was at the wrong place at the wrong time on FBI Season 6 Episode 7.
Then, in a real change of pace, Isobel got too personally involved, which caused her to be unable to see the big picture for once.
It's beneficial every now and then to remind viewers that Isobel has a life outside the Joc.
She even has neighbors, a lovely man and his charming young son, Lucas, whom she stopped to walk and talk with.
When they come upon that bane of New Yorkers' existence, a political rally complete with protestors, she does them a solid, flashing her FBI badge to get them past a police barrier so Lucas wouldn't be late for his dentist appointment.
It seemed like a good idea at the time before that nearby restaurant exploded.

That was one difficult case for Maggie.
The team's having to track down a terrorist killing people with ricin on FBI Season 6 Episode 6 brought back bad memories for her.
In addition, her old friend Jessica, who just came back into her life, got caught up in this case as well, to her ultimate detriment.
We should have seen this coming. The signs were there.
Her Quantico classmate appearing out of the blue. Maggie suddenly hearing her biological clock ticking.
Still, how things broke in this episode indeed constitutes an unexpected path to parenthood.
Let's face it. Maggie has needed some change in her life, either professionally or personally.
Her relationship with Nestor ended up back on FBI Season 3 Episode 6. Since then, Maggie has been at risk of becoming one of those boring, aging workaholics.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for FBI Season 6 Episode 6 “Unforeseen.”] FBI doesn’t explore the personal lives of its agents too often, but it’s doing so with the current arc for Maggie (Missy Peregrym)—motherhood—in all the right ways: by taking time with it. But then tragedy strikes. Maggie has been talking to her friend and former colleague, Jessica (Charlotte Sullivan), about being a mother, and now, she tells her boss, Isobel (Alana De La Garza), during her annual review, “I was thinking about IVF. I’m not sure that I’m going to do it. I want to. A big part of me wants to, but it’s a lot. I mean, just even getting pregnant, let alone the motherhood part.” Whatever she decides, Maggie has Isobel’s support. The case then takes priority: A man is killing people with ricin, modified with cyanide. (It reminds Maggie of the sarin gas.) After the second victim is ...

Who better for Maggie (Missy Peregrym) to talk about a major life decision than her friend Jessica? And we thought we loved the reunion on FBI before! Now, TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the March 26 episode, “Unforeseen,” offers a tease of the big step that Maggie’s about to take. Maggie’s arc about motherhood continues, with Jessica talking to her about being tired because her daughter, Ella, keeps crawling into bed with her at 3:00 a.m. “Then she’s out cold,” Jessica says. “I’m up all night.” Maggie reveals she “told Isobel that I might start to try,” and “she’s very supportive,” but “I’m just not sure that I’m ready for the stress of it all—and the uncertainty.” Jessica asks if she’s talking about IVF or motherhood. Oa had himself one lousy day, didn't he?
First, it was his new girlfriend, Gemma, on FBI Season 6 Episode 4.
Then, it was a wild card of a Muslim FBI agent who served as a funhouse mirror for Omar.
Let's start with the latter first, since it was the more intriguing of the two storylines.
We can all agree that Gemma is a mistake that Oa hasn't recognized yet.
Hassan, played by English actor Elyes Gabel (Scorpion), had a chip on his shoulder. He felt that he had to do more just to be accepted by the Wasps in the FBI.
As Oa explained to Hassan, he saw himself as an FBI agent, not a Muslim FBI agent.
They're both likely fooling themselves.
Oa can't ever escape the fact that others will view him as Muslim. But there's always going to be a place for someone such as Hassan who can...

Maybe one day, Jubal will come out of a spotlight episode feeling better than when it began.
But FBI Season 6 Episode 2 was not that exception.
Instead, the world was dumping on Jubal from the get-go.
Sam called him about Tyler's getting suspended from school for drinking.
Tyler caving into peer pressure and drinking after complaining about not fitting in at his new school on FBI Season 6 Episode 1 really shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone.
Jubal should have just been happy it wasn't yet another possible relapse of Tyler's cancer.
But being a workaholic absentee father, Jubal felt the need to blame himself for passing along his alcoholic gene to Tyler.
Not that Sam helped Jubal at all. After getting Tyler off with having to undergo more therapy, she felt compelled to have Jubal go with him "so that he won't think you hate him."
Jubal said the right thing...

The long-delayed season premiere managed to be both surprising and disappointing.
FBI Season 6 Episode 1 did start with a bang. It also was topical, with terrorists and innocent civilians being killed as part of the narrative.
But it's a Dick Wolf production. "Ripped from the headlines" is to be expected.
Also, after the writers' and actors' strikes had been settled, there were rumors that a character would be written off the series.
The logical choice to be gone was Stuart Scola. After all, things hadn't been good between him and Isobel since FBI Season 5 Episode 17, when she refused to inform him that his baby mama, Nina Chase, had been shot on a dangerous mission.
Isobel had her reasons. Scola was undercover, and she didn't want him distracted. He also didn't like the fact that everyone felt the need to lie to him, basically under Isobel's orders.
Also, Nina has moved to...

This would be an opportune time to catch up on the first five seasons of FBI.
With the ongoing Writers' Guild and SAG/AFTRA strikes, who's to say when new episodes from FBI Season 6 will be appearing?
So while viewers can revisit episodes up until now, we'll look ahead at everything we know about the upcoming season.
FBI has discovered an approachable blend of suspense and drama, with a multi-agency group of geeks employing technology to support the agents who close cases.
It must be said that FBI is less character-driven than Dick Wolf's other two franchises: Law & Order and One Chicago.
However, FBI's popularity has led to two spinoffs: FBI: International, entering its third season, and FBI: Most Wanted, heading into its fifth season. Unlike the more stable parent show, the two spinoffs have been plagued by cast changes.

When Kit Vincent was told he had terminal cancer aged 24, he decided to shoot his parents and girlfriend during his final years – no matter how uncomfortable it made them. The result is an extraordinarily moving film, which premieres in Sheffield on Friday
‘I’m like the grim reaper,” says Kit Vincent at the start of Red Herring. He is filming himself in a mirror, appearing ominously behind his girlfriend Isobel’s back. “No one ever wants to talk about death, but I guess that’s what I remind them of.”
Kit is 24 and has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour. The prognosis is not great: four to eight years, say the doctors. This means some difficult, emotionally raw conversations need to be had with his family. Hard enough in any situation, but especially tough for Kit’s loved ones because he insists on filming them throughout. Whether it’s questions about end-of-life care,...

This case was a rough one for Oa.
He spent much of the time the team was hunting a killer drug dealer debating whether he could be a good agent and a devout Muslim on FBI Season 5 Episode 22.
Oa has had to get comfortable with the idea of compromising his faith while on the job, especially when he was working undercover.
What led to his crisis of conscience? Oa learned he was a model for a younger but more faithful Muslim agent who believed being devout was more important than being an effective agent.
Even worse, Oa didn't even recognize Val, who was working undercover at an Albanian drug lord's bar.
The reason was Val was inspired to enter law enforcement after a talk at his school by Oa about being a Muslim agent.
This made Oa feel responsible for Val. And he felt a little guilty about being a flexible Muslim,...

The fight for a new America is coming in the first full trailer for Outlander season seven.
Set to a rendition of “Ave Maria,” the more than two-minute teaser dropped on Thursday and features Sam Heughan’s Jamie and Caitríona Balfe’s Claire as they navigate yet another war (now of the revolutionary kind) that threatens to tear them, their family and their love apart. “We will make it back here one day, won’t we?” Claire pleads with Jamie towards the top of the trailer.
Season seven of the hit Starz series will be based on Diana Gabaldon’s seventh book, An Echo in the Bone, as well as some source material from the sixth book, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, due to a truncated sixth season due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It picks up where season six left off, with Claire having been charged with the murder of Tom Christie’s daughter,...

Again, Maggie's moral compass gets spun on a pair of similar abductions.
That's because she was offended by the two very different ways those two cases were handled on FBI Season 5 Episode 21.
A college student, who was also the daughter of a prominent senator, was abducted in a sketchy Brooklyn neighborhood.
Because of who Sen. David Becker was, everyone short of the Park Rangers got thrown into her disappearance.
It made sense that the FBI might believe the kidnapping targeted the outspoken leftist senator, who had made waves in a divided Washington.
But after the senator denied he'd made any severe enemies, they had to take another look at honor student Allison.
Unfortunately, the ex-cop turned Pi who had been tailing Allison proved to be a red herring, just someone looking to damage her father's reputation.
After the agents determined why Allison was in that section of the city regularly,...

Many of the McMurrays' futures were on the line on Ride Season 1 Episode 7, including Isabel's, Cash's, and Missy's.
Isabel convinced the locals about Canyon Stadium, Cash decided whether to ride with an injury, and Missy decided that displeased Frontier.
Instead of the shock and awe of the last few episodes, "Ride or Die" focused on the character development, family relationships, and sense of community that initially made me love the series.
Isabel and Hank made a deal with the devil, Daniel Booker, to invest in their new rodeo stadium. Isabel only agreed because she thought it would help save the ranch.
Unfortunately, many of the locals were uneasy about Booker's involvement, and soon Isabel became unsure as well.
Partnering with Daniel Booker was a disaster waiting to happen. He only cared about the corporate business side of things, whereas Isabel is a savvy businesswoman with a heart.

Once upon a time, TV premieres would slow down around this time of year, with broadcast networks saving their new shows until the fall.
Thankfully, we now have streaming services, which means we have a constant stream of content year-round.
Check out what we recommend for you this week.

Genuine question, are any of you tuning in for Fatal Attraction?
We know the reception has been south of lukewarm, and, hey, different strokes for different folks and all that, but it's not that bad, right?
In an all-new episode, Alex definitely turns it up a notch with her behavior, and at the very least, you'll want to tune in for how things escalate between these two moving forward.

It's challenging to follow your dreams when life gets in the way, and Ride Season 1 Episode 5 showed how these resilient women kept going.
Both Isobel and Missy have had to live up to the McMurray legend since they married fantastic bull riders, but they're trying to survive and prove they are successful on their own too.
"When It Rains" showed how strong these two leading leadings were.
Isobel's pride and joy is McMurray Ranch. She has done everything to save it, and she panicked when a bad storm could destroy the hay and the horses.
She used to have bigger dreams, but those died when both her husband and Austin died of bull riding accidents. Now, all Isobel cared about was keeping Cash safe and the ranch afloat.
Isobel grew frustrated that while she struggled to serve ribs and coleslaw at the Harvest Dinner, Hank kept pitching his idea of...

There are so many things. First of all, she seems to be good at everything. She has many skills, and they show up throughout the season. In Ride Season 1 Episode 4, we saw her as an expert poker player. Since she has many skills, I learned more skills.
I learned how to play poker from a professional. I got to learn how to shuffle cards professionally. That was fun.

Having Jubal front and center in an episode is always a good decision.
That's even more true when 9/11 gets mixed in like the tragedy was on FBI Season 5 Episode 19.
Muslim terrorists have been a TV boogeyman staple in the 22 years since 9/11. At least this episode was pretty even-handed in its treatment of Muslims.
It was pretty clear that Jubal was going to be at the heart of the episode as soon as Isobel revealed that he would be receiving the Distinguished Service Award.
It was so in character for Jubal to downplay his getting the award as a measure of his longevity instead of the quality of his work.
It's not just his modesty. He also can replay every mistake he's ever made. He's a glass-half-empty kind of guy.
He didn't have time to savor his accomplishment (not that he would have) because the case of the murdered truck driver fell into the FBI's lap.

Björk offered a career-spanning performance to the crowd at Coachella 2023 with support from the Hollywood String Ensemble in a unique reprisal of her recently-concluded “Orkestral” concerts. To make the appearance extra special, she used more than 800 drones to create a light show above the stage.
During Björk’s set, the singer played songs ranging from the newer “Freefall” to classics like “Isobel” and “Jóga” to the Oscar-nominated “I’ve Seen It All.” She was accompanied by touring conductor Bjarni Frímann as the hundreds of drones floated above. Though the performance was pulled from the YouTube livestream at the last minute, you can still watch the fan-shot footage and see the full setlist below.

The McMurray curse has been haunting the family since the series began, and on Ride Season 1 Episode 3, Cash chose to look at it differently.
He's had undue pressure on his shoulders since he returned, trying to follow in his late father's and brother's footsteps and prove that their family is thriving.
"The McMurray Curse" showed how Beau Mirchoff has matured as an actor into a leading man.
Cash is the rebel son, but he's always willing to please his mother, including schmoozing the Bull Riders League Gala judges. I love their relationship.
Cash: You know I hate this stuff.
Isobel: It doesn’t matter. If you want to do this…I mean, really do this.
Missy: She’s right. If you meet the judges and they like you, it can mean a difference in your score.

How much clamor there was for a crossover of the three FBI series is debatable.
Still, a reasonably seamless narrative ran through FBI: International Season 2 Episode 16, FBI Season 5 Episode 17, and FBI: Most Wanted Season 4 Episode 16.
That makes sense because crossovers are old hat for Dick Wolf.
One of the earliest crossovers was Wolf's Og Law & Order, crossing over with Tom Fontana's Homicide in 1996. The two series crossed over twice more during their runs.
Richard Belzer's John Munch, the crossover king who appeared in 10 different series, even moved from Homicide to Wolf's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 1999.
Subsequently, crossovers have become more commonplace between and within Wolf's One Chicago and Law & Order franchises. So this FBI crossover was inevitable.
There was a crossover between FBI and FBI: Most Wanted in 2020. There also have been phone calls among the three teams.
But it's not a full-blown crossover until...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the FBI–FBI: International–FBI: Most Wanted crossover “Imminent Threat.”] The second global, three-show crossover for The FBIs is action-packed, and the stakes couldn’t be higher — especially for Scola (John Boyd) and Nina (Shantel VanSanten). Nina joins Jubal (Jeremy Sisto) in Rome to kick it all off and is shot while in the field. And with Scola undercover and Nina pregnant with his child, Isobel (Alana De La Garza) decides it’s best not to tell him. Needless to say, he does find out in the worst way, and to say he’s furious would be an understatement; at one point, Remy (Dylan McDermott) has to talk Scola down while he holds his gun on a perp in their custody. But by the end of the crossover, the three teams — FBI, International, and Most Wanted — have not only stopped a terrorist attack but Scola’s also flown to Rome to be with ...

Ride continued to be dramatic and entertaining as we learned more family secrets about almost everyone.
While Isobel tried to get another investor for the ranch in Ride Season 1 Episode 2, Missy felt like she was nothing more than Austin's widow, and Valeria harbored some painful secrets.
I never expected them to drop hints on Cash and Missy's relationship so quickly, but since I'm invested in them, I'm glad they did.
I initially thought they brought Austin back to life when he returned while Cash and Missy were flirting and thought it was too soon to play that card.
I soon realized that was a flashback, but Austin's ghost still interfered with Missy moving on.
Part of it was working with Cash as his coach. Cash felt frustrated that he always seemed to be in his brother's shadow as second best.
Cash: Come on, I don’t want you to waste your life on another McMurray.

Within minutes, the McMurrays cemented a place in our hearts, and hopefully, we'll be watching them for several seasons.
During Ride Season 1 Episode 1, the McMurrays banded together to try and save the family ranch.
They also showed that family wasn't always just by blood, and sometimes you were blessed to find another family.
Many long-running family dramas have ended recently, including This Is Us, Good Witch, and Chesapeake Shores. Ride elevates the family loyalty from Chesapeake Shores and adds sizzling chemistry from the two leads.
The multi-talented cast adds to the magic of the series, particularly the McMurray family. Nancy Travis is a well-respected actress known for many projects, especially ABC's Last Man standing. She plays the matriarch, Isobel McMurray.

Alaric Saltzman — one of the main characters in The Vampire Diaries — was a vampire hunter that became a history teacher in Mystic Falls. He eventually served as headmaster of the Salvatore School, as seen in Legacies. But by the time he entered Elena Gilbert’s orbit, Alaric had already racked up a criminal record. So how did he get a teaching job at a public school with such a violent history?

Q: We recently saw you in the film Pursuit of Freedom. In it, you play the role of Bedros, a character who fights for freedom, making his own decisions, to put it that way. This is a character who is obviously full of goodness and is very human.
How did you prepare for Bedros and what can you tell us about him and your character?

A: Thank you for your feedback on Bedros and Pursuit Of Freedom.
I’d already been in a prior film about human trafficking based on a true story (Selling Isobel aka Apartment 407) and had done extensive research in this arena. So I was far too familiar with the ugly global exploitation and far too common forced labor that exists. And aware of how governments are always one step behind and in some cases don’t care.

Someone has to make those hard calls.
Isobel showed she's not afraid to do so on FBI Season 5 Episode 15.
Not that she had another choice, with a super strain of Covid in the wrong hands. Isobel was willing to do what had to be done to keep that from being unleashed on the world.
This crime begs the question of why. With a global pandemic killing millions since 2019, why would any lab create a super strain of Covid? Wasn't the continually mutating Covid-19 virus effective enough in thinning the population?
And it turns out that such a virus was also an attractive target for terrorists. Go figure.
How about that lab's screening practices? How did the fact that Cilic was a religious terrorist in his homeland slip by?
No, instead, Cilici found a patsy to do his dirty work. Sure, he was eventually fired, but he had set his plan in motion by then.

In The Vampire Diaries, Alaric Saltzman was initially a mysterious figure who came to Mystic Falls and eventually moved in with Elena and Jeremy Gilbert. He had a questionable background and a close connection to the supernatural. So then why didn’t anyone in Mystic Falls find it strange that this complete stranger decided to live with the two teens?

Poor Maggie had to make some tough choices.
That's because her mentor came to town, and something was off about her on FBI Season 5 Episode 13.
It was enjoyable to indirectly look back at a younger Maggie through Gwen's eyes. And didn't Oa eat that up?
.
It was a very organic way that the reunion was set up. The FBI got sucked in because a dead body was gunned down in some kind of federal economic zone.
Someone texted one of the victim's burners, and surprise, surprise, that someone was Gwen, who regularly used the victim, Cole Dixon, a professional informant.
Well, that was certainly a convenient way to get that old team back together again, wasn't it?
And since Dixon's last message to Gwen was both ominous and vague, having to do with thousands of deaths, unfortunately, there was little time for nostalgia.
Gwen's presence made for a fascinating change of perspective.

Jubal has long been the rock for the FBI Joint Operations Center.
But circumstances on FBI Season 5 Episode 12 proved too much even for him.
Having Yemeni terrorists running around with a biotoxin would be enough to ruin anyone's day.
Jubal is accustomed to handling such situations regularly. But throw in an unknown threat to his cancer-survivor son, and Jubal found himself struggling.
The old expression is about something that drives a person to drink. Jubal had two such somethings on this day.
Jubal had been sober for years. He even helped others through Alcoholics Anonymous, including his fellow recovering addict, the late Jess Lacroix of FBI: Most Wanted.
That made his actions on this particularly high-tension day all the more shocking because it was entirely out of character.
One day at a time and all that. But this was Jubal we're talking about. He's been through times that would try men's souls,...

Sometimes I Think About Dying is directed by Rachel Lambert, written by Stefanie Abel Horowitz, Kevin Armento, and Katy Wright. The movie stars Daisy Ridley, Dave Merheje, Megan Stalter and Brittany O’ Grady. It had its world premiere Thursday on the opening day of the Sundance Film Festival.
The film begins with shots of a seaside northwestern town on the Oregon coast. It appears to be a dreary and somewhat lonely place. Next we see Fran (Ridley) laying in bed peering outside the window at the gray sky. Instead of embracing the morning, she looks terrified to confront it. She works a mundane office job that she likes but is the least animated of her colleagues. Most of her work day is spent daydreaming about death or being overly observant of small things. Her night routine is also humdrum. Fran comes home, cooks dinner (in the microwave), thinks about dying,...

Kelly Moran, one of those Joc analysts who find the evidence to crack cases weekly, got out from behind his terminal for once.
He probably wished he hadn't after FBI Season 5 Episode 11.
It's great to see one of the support team members getting rewarded with his own episode. After all, FBI wouldn't be the engrossing procedural it is without their contributions.
Kelly seemed like the least likely candidate to end up in the field. It must be his dress shirt and tie in every episode. That outfit just doesn't scream "cyber specialist."
He has no agent instincts. When he heard suspicious noises from the bank, he walked right into the robbery rather than quietly checking out the situation first.
Still, he made valuable contributions while a hostage, slipping out his hidden cell to text updates back to the office. That part came naturally to him.
Thanks to the actual field agents,...
