Darren Moran(III)
- Writer
- Additional Crew
Darren Moran is what would happen if Aaron Sorkin and Tina Fey had a baby using Judd Apatow's sperm. His high concept, delayed coming-of-age comedies, dramedies, and notes left on car windshields explore themes of redemption and reinvention through the lenses of contemporary social issues, dysfunctional families, and admirable punctuation.
Over the last two years, Darren's scripts have won or placed in over 40 top screenwriting contests, including a win in the Final Draft Big Break competition for his feature, "Qubit." In 2023, he achieved the rare feat of having three scripts place in the Austin Film Festival.
Darren was the creator and showrunner of the YouTube series, "Camp Halohead", starring Ryan Kaji and which garnered over 22 million views. As a Madison Avenue Creative Director, he has written, produced, or directed over a thousand commercials and films, many with some of Hollywood's biggest actors and directors, and one with Gilbert Gottfried.
Originally from New York City, Darren now lives in Los Angeles where he's been saving up to buy a smoothie from Erewhon.
