Was Miss Los Angeles County 1999 (a preliminary pageant to Miss
America).
Spent two summers at the School of American Ballet in New York's
Lincoln Center.
Was the recipient of the Bartholin Prize at Copenhagen's Royal Danish
Ballet where she trained for two summers.
Spent her sophomore year of high school at the North Carolina School of
the Arts.
She is a first generation American. Her mother, Nadia, was born in
Cairo, Egypt. Her father, Michael, is from Mont St. Hilaire, a town
outside Montreal, Canada.
Has been teaching ballet to children and adults since the age of
eighteen.
Graduated from Loyola Marymount University, Cum Laude, with a degree in
Theatre Arts.
Was the winner of SiTV's original reality series "Urban Jungle".
Used some of her "Urban Jungle" winnings to produce "Save Our Future", a documentary that shows what happens to a group of inner city teens when their charter high school is shut down.
Has a Master of Arts degree in Education Counseling.
