The Watch What Happens Live host remembered meeting her at an album listening party and there was a woman with her, and he said it seemed like she was Britney‘s captor.
Keep reading to see what Andy said…

Denver, Colorado — Dr. Larry Rudolph was always going to testify for himself. His lawyer wanted him to, but didn’t want Larry to appear rehearsed, like in the hokey TV ads for his dental practice back in Pittsburgh. His girlfriend, Lori Milliron, tells Rolling Stone she agreed that Larry should take control of what she calls a nearly six-year “witch hunt” by the FBI and federal prosecutors. “When I was still able to talk to him on the phone, before I was arrested,” she says, “I told him, ‘You need...

To catch a leopard, the trophy hunter must track its prey. Lure the big cat with wild dogs. With hedgehogs. With a vanishing species of antelope as bait. Slaughter a southern impala, hang it high in the Mutondo trees, then wait. If you are careful and you are quiet, the camouflaged victim will leap up and succumb to the rifle. Experienced game scouts, though, recommend keeping a shotgun in the truck; once that cat is down, you’d best finish her off, before she runs away.

Updated with quotes from original 8:54 a.m. story: Framing Britney Spears, the New York Times documentary that brought renewed attention to the pop singer’s conservatorship, earned an Emmy nomination Tuesday for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special.
“It’s really wonderful to be recognized,” director-producer Samantha Stark told Deadline. “We had a big team that made this so it was great to be nominated in this category because it’s the whole team’s work together.”
But she added, “We have mixed feelings about it because Britney is currently in this [conservatorship] court battle… So it is a little odd for us to be celebrated in this way when that’s happening. But what I hope it signifies is how many people want to know the truth about Britney and are interested in really learning the real stories.”
Co-ep and writer Liz Day echoed that feeling.

As the exits and resignations from Britney Spears’ controversial conservatorship snowball, the focus now has turned to the bottom line of the singer’s $50 million-plus fortune. Specifically, one day after temporary co-conservator Jodi Montgomery requested big bucks for increased security amid death threats, the singer’s father and co-conservator wants to put the kibosh on handing out any more cash.
“If the Court grants the Ex Parte Petition, it is anticipated that Ms. Montgomery will not be the only one requesting additional protection to be paid by the Conservatorship Estate,” the potentially pugilistic opposition filing from the elder Spears states (read it here). “The nasty rhetoric and threatening emails, social media posts, and voicemail messages are pervasive and ongoing and impact multiple people involved in or related to the Conservatorship, including the Conservatee, Mr. Spears, other family members, Ms. Montgomery allegedly, and many of their attorneys and other professionals involved – some more than others,...

Now that checks are on their way to thousands of artists in the Sony Music system, the result of the company’s plan to share the $750 million in profit it collected from the April sale of 50% of its Spotify stock (the company held a 5.7% share when the streaming service went public), some lingering questions remain, chief among them: Who is the check made out to? Conversations with multiple music industry insiders offer some answers.
Is Sony obligated to share this money? No. The investment was Sony’s and, while the company states that it “obtained Spotify equity by in part balancing the strength of over 100 years of Sony Music Entertainment’s success, both in the past and present,” it specifically characterizes the payment as “a gesture of good will … without recovery of outstanding advances and recording costs or other recoupable sums and regardless of whether specifically required by contract.” In contrast,...

Sony Music has begun to distribute the $750 million in profit it collected from the April sale of 50% of its Spotify shares to the artists and distributed labels within the Sony system, Variety has confirmed. As previously reported, Sony, which held 5.7% of Spotify’s stock when the streaming service went public, will not count the funds against the artists’ and label’s unrecouped earnings.
Rather, the “Spotify windfall,” as Sme insiders are calling the disbursement, will be apportioned according to individual artist and label contract terms and based on earnings over the last 10 years — or since Sony’s initial investment in the Swedish streaming upstart — divisible against Sony’s own revenues from the Spotify stock gain for that time period.
What does this mean to the thousands of artists, representatives and some two million titles involved? The checks are in the mail, and set to arrive by the end of August.

On the heels of an Emmy Awards nomination for his role as Antonio D’amico in FX’s “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story,” Ricky Martin has signed with Maverick Management for representation. The company is headed by Guy Oseary, who in 2014 launched it as a collective of managers and superstar artists — among them Larry Rudolph, Wassim “Sal” Slaiby, Scott Rodger, Clarence Spalding (Jason Aldean) and Cortez Bryant — in partnership with Live Nation. Martin will be represented by Lee Anne Callahan-Longo, a former associate of Beyonce.
As a music artist, Martin has released ten studio albums including 1999’s seven-times platinum (in the U.S.) “Ricky Martin.” That album featured “Livin’ La Vida Loca” as its opening track. The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 where it remained for five weeks. “She Bangs,” released in 2000, peaked at No. 12 after 18 weeks on the chart. He first broke out as...

Pitbull earned the following mention in Variety’s Music Mogul of the Year special. For more, including the cover story on Sean Combs, click here.
Whether he’s going by Pitbull, Mr. 305 or Mr. Worldwide, Armando Pérez is both a recording artist and a self-made mogul, rising from Miami’s mean streets to become a hustling entrepreneur worth $27 million, according to Forbes’ recent list of Hip-Hop Cash Kings. That’s more than double his bona fides from four years ago, when the same survey had him pegged at $11 million.
“There are no failures, only opportunities” is one of his favorite mottos. Another — “There’s nothing better than freedom” — describes his current situation after the conclusion of his deal with Sony Music Group and RCA Records, making him a free agent for the first time since he signed with Luther Campbell’s Luke Records in 2001 (his Spanish-language albums are still distributed by Sony Latin).

Enter: the girl groups, who are about to infiltrate the music world, if the industry has its way. Several newcomers hoping to sing their way into the void left by the Spice Girls, Destiny’s Child and even Danity Kane are primed for impact. They include X Factor U.K. winners Little Mix, who burst onto the U.S. charts with their wildly successful debut, DNA, X Factor U.S. alums Fifth Harmony and the Larry Rudolph-managed, Britney Spears-endorsed supergroup G.

Viewers of Fox's The X Factor might have noticed judge Britney Spears wearing an accessory on her right ear for the season’s first live episodes -- and we’re not talking about the sparkly kind. To the trained eye, it seemed the pop star had an in-ear Ifb (interruptible feedback), which allows a producer or the control room to communicate directly, possibly feeding lines or direction. Or so an on-set source tells The Hollywood Reporter. But Spears’ manager Larry Rudolph insists it’s a custom-molded earplug aimed at noise reduction. Sure, The X Factor is wasting three hours of our lives every week, doling out so little action that I could recap this whole show in a tweet and have enough room for a #Yolo, but at least they know comedy. Tonight’s show begins with Britney Spears’s manager Larry Rudolph cooking up some hilarious mischief: He suggests to Britney that they mess with Wade, the judges’ assistant. You know, just really wind the kid up. Britney is reluctant at first, but eventually, she gets into the Kutchery spirit: “Let’s tell him ... I want ... a straw hat?” “And then he’ll be running all around trying to find one?” “Yeah!” This is going to be great; mildly inconvenient errand is my favorite genre of prank. We’re in Providence, Rhode Island, and our first auditioners are Adonis & John. They’re in a big old rush to get to the auditorium!

I'm not sure how many times this has happened to you, but when you're in the middle of recording voice-overs during the Video Music Awards and all of a sudden you get an email from the assistant of your bosses' boss telling you that you have to interview Britney Spears in her dressing room in 10 minutes -- man, that's weird.
Because it's Britney Spears. One of the hugest pop stars on the planet, constant target of the tabloids, decided enigma. She's not exactly forthcoming with the press (for reasons that are certainly understandable) and not particularly interested in sitting down for a chat -- especially when said chat is supposed to take place in her dressing room, surrounded by her team of publicists,...
