- Graduated from Dartmouth College in 2001 where she majored in art history. She had been accepted by Columbia University to earn her master's degree, but decided to pursue acting instead.
- In the fall of 2012, Jennifer had brain surgery on her one year wedding anniversary to remove a Ganglioglioma tumor that was lodged in her left temporal lobe. A few months after the surgery, she discovered that her husband, Robert Tyler Barth, started cheating on her at the time of the operation. Jenny's experience overcoming these adversities is chronicled in Molly Lavik's book, "Going Supernova - The Bold Paths of 101 Superachievers".
