Felicia is the owner and CEO of BusyGal, LLC which was founded to inspire Women Over 40 globally to re-invent themselves, ignite hope through Entrepreneurship, and embrace their 2nd Chances in their 2nd Chapters of Life. One of the divisions of BusyGal, LLC is BusyGal Television which has a mission to inspire, educate and entertain by broadcasting mainstream stories from diverse populations. The types of shows broadcast include news, business educational programming, interview and variety series, scripted comedies and dramatic series, documentaries, and theatrical made for TV films, for and about women, specifically with a focus on the entrepreneurial over 40 set.
Starting 4Q 2020 BGTV will provide Streaming and On Demand programming via both Free and Subscriber based media platforms for our audiences focusing on women over 40 who are accomplished on their own terms. We tell compelling, interesting, and emotionally charged stories that inspire viewers to take action and perhaps build businesses of their own. For Entrepreneurs, Small Businesses and Brands we develop television programs and distribute these shows on our global streaming ROKU platform to effectively enhance messaging centered around business brands. We provide production services for businesses should they want to create shows that are branded to their business interests within a space where they can compete globally and we support entrepreneurs with affordable marketing and advertising solutions that help businesses demonstrate their credibility within their particular niche or market. Lastly, we offer a distribution platform for television content providers and filmmakers who create shows for and/or about women to reach audiences globally. We support content providers and filmmakers who choose to earn royalties based on hours streamed by BusyGal video club subscribers and a revenue share from pay per view subscribers. Content providers' titles will be available through BusyGal video club on all supported devices and networks including ROKU, Z-TV Network, FireTV, The ReeWind Network, Chromecast, Comcast, BizVod, VEWD, phones, tablets, and Smart TVs.
Felicia has more than 25 years of work and leadership experience in the areas of theatre and event production management.
She holds the unique distinction of having served the internationally renowned Drama Desk Awards, for 10 years from 2001-2010 as its general manager. As General Manager of this illustrious show, she oversaw all production and administrative areas of the awards show which was televised by PBS in 25 markets nationwide; and coordinated hospitality, arrivals and logistics for celebrity hosts and presenters.
Outside of her tenure with The Drama Desk Awards, Felicia was the Theatrical General Manager for the Broadway bound show Judah Ben-Hur and was an Associate Producer on the Broadway show, Angels The Musical. She also managed the World Premiere, Off Broadway of Magis Theatre Company's CS Lewis' The Great Divorce which received NY Times critical acclaim. Additionally, she co-produced the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway show, King David, at The Promise Theatre.
In tandem with these shows, Felicia have served as Vice President of Theatrical Management for TheatreSport, Ltd, representing nationally touring productions of Shades of Harlem: The Cotton Club Musical, The Luigi Board, Me & Jezebel, Fan's Mate, and Earl Wilson Jr.'s Let My People Come Again as well as You're It!
In 2012, Felicia was hired as a project manage to produce an event for Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment. She produced a Programming Charrette for Disney's newest theme park - the Shanghai Disney Resort. She was mandated to gather a wide variety of participants (Disney executives, nationally and internationally renown theatrical producers and performing arts programming directors) from within and outside of Disney, with the objective of developing a unique programming strategy for the theater that is authentic to a Disney property while at the same time due to its location and surroundings, distinct to Shanghai.
Outside of NYC theatrical, project and event management, Felicia acquired experience in Film Distribution because she had a short assignment working with writer/director Derrick Warfel wherein she was hired as the interim VP of Theatrical Distribution and Marketing on a 10-week assignment. She was able to garner a ten city national theatrical distribution deal, for this made for DVD independent psychological horror film, Midnight Reckoning.
Serving as a consultant to Red Carpet Media Partners in 2006, Felicia jointly, with the partners of RCMP, conceptualized, developed, and produced, 3 high profile charity events, national media campaigns, charity photo shoots, benefit concerts and tours, charity singles, audio podcasts, video projects, and televised programming. Non-profit clients include the American Diabetes Association, Save Darfur Coalition, and the United Nations.
Felicia is an MFA graduate of Columbia University's School of the Arts Theatre Management and Producing Program. While in school she worked on the original Broadway cast production of Disney Theatrical's The Lion King and Chicago, The Musical. At Actors Equity Association, she served as a Business Representative and successfully wrote and executed over 85 Off Broadway theatrical contracts.
