Warning: Contains spoilers for It’s a Sin episode 4
All five episodes of Russell T Davies’ blistering 1980s-set AIDS drama It’s a Sin are a tribute to the lives of gay men lost to the virus, but one scene in particular was written in specific recognition of an individual. Speaking to Doctor Who Magazine, Davies describes a moment in episode four as “a little smile” towards actor Dursley McLinden. “I was really desperate to do it,” said Davies. “I did it for Dursley.”
The scene features series lead Olly Alexander as actor Ritchie Tozer, who’s playing a part in a fictional 1988 Doctor Who serial. Dressed in a futuristic uniform and holding a blaster, Tozer’s character Trooper Linden leads a team defending an under-attack space station. “Remember,” he tells his soldiers, “if they get through, we lose the crystal, and if we lose that, it’s the end of the world.

Contains Spoilers for The Day of the Doctor.
While we didn't see the Fifth, Sixth or Seventh Doctors in the flesh during The Day of the Doctor there's a possibility that they might still have featured somewhere. It's possible that, on set, Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy refused to let Zygons be Zygons.
As with much of the anniversary programming, once you're done with being merely incredibly entertained by the Pythonesque brilliance and sequences involving K9 and Lisa Bowerman haunting Steven Moffat's dreams, you can then embark on a game of 'Spot the Reference'. Written, directed, and initiated by Peter Davison (confirming himself as the bigger nerd in the room), The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot is like a Easter Egg within an Easter Egg,...

Sex Box. A one-hour special with real-life couples having sex in a television studio and then undertaking an 'honest' discussion about it in front of a studio audience. Channel 4's latest show certainly isn't your standard Monday evening viewing.
Aired as part of C4's Campaign For Real Sex season, the show set out to "reclaim sex from porn" by exploring people's expectations of intercourse.
The reaction has been varied on Twitter, with some in favour of the social and sexual experiment but others thinking it is one 'sex show' too far.
However, many saw the comical side of things and Digital Spy rounds up a selection of the funniest online reactions below...

When executive producer and showrunner Steven Moffat claimed that this year he would throw the arc lever in the other direction for Doctor Who, he certainly wasn’t kidding. Much as Asylum Of The Daleks was undoubtedly a 5* episode in this writer’s opinion, its allusions to the overarching themes and plot threads of Series Seven were to some extent far more subtle. If anything, we may find that something akin to the ‘Bad Wolf’ and ‘Mr Saxon’ arcs begins to develop as the season progresses, albeit with far greater scale and ambition than the show could manage in its early years.
There were hints at what is to come, though- did you catch them? Well, in any case you’d be well advised to check out this guide to the teasers we received, as it could well prove invaluable come the time when we reach the series finale next Spring.

This weekend I made my first trip to the 23rd installment of Gallifrey One – a Doctor Who convention held annually in La – and it was nothing short of Outstanding. The defining characteristic of this event is that it is 100% fan-run. This means every staff member and volunteer is participating out of sheer love and enjoyment of the series, and it shows in every detail of the programming. Chairman Robbie Bourget and his team planned a fantastic convention with an enormous variety of interviews, discussion panels and screenings.
The charm of this convention goes beyond the quality of programming. Just as important to the overall experience is the character of the fans. I am pleased to say I have never been surrounded by so many friendly, enthusiastic, and kind people that I immediately felt a connection with. This inclusive, family-friendly atmosphere was in no way diminished by a record-breaking attendance of 3,183 people.

This is a big weekend for Whovians in the U.S with the Gallifrey One convention (#gally) taking place in La.
In it’s 23rd year this convention is pretty much as official as it gets ‘across the pond’ (no Pond intended) and has seen a huge swell of interest thanks to the intense promotional work and focus on American Who fandom since we first saw The Impossible Astronaut in 2011.
While not an “official” convention like the one to be held in Cardiff in late March, this one is crammed with guests that will interest both classic and current series fans (thought not Matt Smith and Karen Gillan as they are the primary focus of the official convention). Firstly, the day is being billed as a 1996 TV movie reunion with 8th Doctor Paul McGann reunited with Daphne Ashbrook, Yee Jee Tso, Eric Roberts and producer Philip Segal.
I wear a Fez now.

Odds are good that even if you’ve never read any of the Holmes stories, you can name at least one: “The Hound of the Baskervilles”. It’s got a very evocative, memorable title, and is a very popular story, having been adapted many times. Now Big Finish, as part of their line of Holmes audios, have adapted the story. Does it work well in audio form?
The story begins with Holmes (Nicholas Briggs), and Watson (Richard Earl), chatting merrily away at Baker Street prior to the arrival of one Doctor James Mortimer (John Banks). He tells them the tale of Hugo Baskerville, a man of means who had died some time back, allegedly killed by a giant hound. Now one of his descendants, Sir Charles Baskerville, is dead, and the body was found with large dog prints nearby.

A new Doctor Who audio adventure is available, continuing the travels of the Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor. McGann starred in the 1996 failed pilot that attempted to bring back the series, but although he's only made one onscreen appearance, he's been performing in Doctor Who audio dramas for a good while now. This story features the classic Ice Warriors.
"The Ice Warriors, first encountered by the Second Doctor (Patrick Troughton), return for a brand new audio outing. This time, however, it is the Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann) who comes face to face with these familiar, noble creatures...
Millions of years ago, the noble Ice Warriors fled to Deimos, moon of Mars, hoping to sit out the radioactive death throes of their home planet. When the Tardis lands on Deimos, the Doctor discovers that the Warriors' ancient catacombs are now a popular stop for space tourists. But the Martian dynasties are more than history,...

Four forthcoming episodes are previewed, The Vampires of Venice, Amy’s Choice, The Hungry Earth and Cold Blood and there are interviews with writers Toby Whithouse, Simon Nye, Chris Chibnall and Steven Moffat, and never-before-seen photos!
Talking about the new-look reptile people of The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood, Chris Chibnall reveals,These new creatures don’t negate the original Silurians, they’re a different exploration of the same idea. They’re close cousins. And once you see Neve McIntosh (who plays Silurians Alaya and Restac) and Matt Smith acting their socks off together, I’m hoping you’ll feel the idea paid off.

This last week has seen production for the 2010 series of Doctor Who continue with scenes filmed at Brangwyn Hall in Swansea, a location previously seen in "Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead", and Torchwood's "Children of Earth". See the spoiler section for some more details and cast members seen at the Hall!
Filming is taking place for the series finale, episodes 12/13. It is believed that the Hall is being utilised as a museum in the story, with Egyptian props, a polar bear, and a dinosaur seen being taken in!
Though filming took place inside the Hall, notable cast members were seen arriving/leaving, including principals Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, and Alex Kingston (River Song, who was also involved in the first block of filming last year), plus Nick Briggs (voice of the Daleks) and Barnaby Edwards (Dalek operator) - however, it should be pointed out that...
