Brendan Fraser's ongoing Brenaissance (sorry) continues as the once-reclusive star re-emerges into the spotlight. Much of Hollywood's newly rediscovered love for Fraser stems from his Oscar-nominated turn in Darren Aronofsky's "The Whale," but he's also got the benefit of '90s nostalgia and just being a charming guy working in his favor. That effortless charm was put to good use back in the '90s when Fraser was handed starring role after starring role. From his breakthrough in 1992's "Encino Man," which established his ongoing penchant for playing "naif characters," to 1997's "George of The Jungle," and his biggest hit "The Mummy," Fraser had a gentle and endearing demeanor that proved popular with audiences of all ages. Sometimes.
Other times, it didn't work that way. "George of The Jungle" proved a hit for Disney in '97, bringing in 105 million at the box office on a 55 million budget. Two...

The first teaser for Prime Video's "Hunters" season 2 is here, and if ever there were a time for a series about Nazi hunters in America to make a return, this is that time. Unfortunately for "Hunters" fans, the show's second season will be its last. But it's going out with a bang, pitting Jewish protagonist Jonah Heidelbaum (Logan Lerman) and his fellow vigilantes against the evilest Nazi of them all: Adolph Hitler, played by Udo Kier.
In "Hunters" season 2, Lena Olin is also back as Hitler's wife, Eva Braun, who is alive and well and leading the Fourth Reich with her husband in the U.S. in the 1970s. Also joining the cast this season is Jennifer Jason Leigh as a new top Nazi hunter, which is a good thing since Aldo Raine and the Inglourious Basterds are nowhere to be found in this particular alternate history, and Jonah and...

Is there a more terrifying horror subgenre than aquatic horror? I'd argue there isn't. Who are we to understand oceanic depths and pitch-black waters yet to be explored? We can rationalize away zombies and ignore slashers as real-life canon, but shark attacks or anaconda constrictions could happen any day. There's an inescapable quality to movies like "Deep Blue Sea" or "Lake Placid" no matter...

I understood the horror of heartbeat sensors far before "Call of Duty: Warzone." There's nothing like the adrenaline surge when hunting an enemy tango in the final circle while using your handheld motion detector. A wee science-fiction classic called "Aliens" showed me how horrifying tiny moving dots could become. James Cameron — the master of sequels with such...
