A slew of Marilyn Monroe and Hugh Hefner collectibles sold at auction over the weekend, including a pink Pucci dress worn by the actress and a smoking jacket and slippers worn by the Playboy founder.
The three-day auction, which ended Saturday, saw the long-sleeved silk jersey Pucci dress go to the winning bidder for $325,000, which set a record for a Pucci dress sold at auction, according to organizer Julien’s Auctions.
Also sold were the one-space mausoleum crypt at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary in Los Angeles, located near the final side-by-side resting places of Hugh Hefner and Marilyn Monroe, for $195,000; a grave marker from Monroe’s crypt, for $88,900 (constant touching from fans led to minor wear, causing it to be replaced); Hefner’s burgundy smoking jacket, slippers, pajamas and tobacco pipe ensemble ($13,000); and a circular mansion bed custom-made for Hefner as a backup to his primary bed...

It is a controversy more befitting of a Real Housewife than a royal princess. On Monday, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, posted a personal message — via the Kensington Royal social pages — to apologize for any “confusion” caused by a Mother’s Day photograph. (In the U.K., Mother’s Day falls on the second Sunday of March.) “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused,” the post read. “I hope everyone...

Less than a year before she died, Queen Elizabeth II announced that when her son became king, his wife (formerly Camilla Parker Bowles) would be known as “queen consort” rather than “princess consort” as originally thought. But following her death, when invitations for King Charles’ coronation were sent out his bride was referred to as “Queen Camilla.”
No one expects Camilla to be able to fill the late queen’s shoes but she has learned so much from her mother-in-law from royal protocols to how members of the family should dress and conduct themselves in public. But what was good for a former queen may not be good for the current queen as Camilla isn’t going to bring back Queen Elizabeth’s signature makeup look.

After she married Prince William, the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) learned a lot from his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, about royal protocols and how members of the family should dress and present themselves in public. But what was good for a former queen may not be good for a future queen.
The princess has paid tribute to the late monarch on a number of occasions with something she can incorporate into an outfit or a piece of jewelry. But don’t expect to see Kate do that when it comes to her makeup as one of the queen’s favorite looks isn’t one Kate has ever duplicated.

A makeup rule Queen Elizabeth always went by was to wear a bold lip color.

Prince Harry’s memorable passage in Spare about his frostbitten “nether regions” and effort to heal them by applying a cream used by Princess Diana isn’t impacting The Crown Season 6. The makeup artist for the Netflix original series has revealed the cream that reminded the Duke of Sussex of his late mother didn’t make its way into actor Elizabeth Debicki’s Diana makeup bag for the final season.
Harry used Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream on his frostbitten ‘nether regions’ after visiting the North Pole in 2011
Spare included some searing passages about Prince William and major revelations, but also in Harry’s memoir were some lighter moments. Perhaps the most laughable among them came when the now-39-year-old recalled experiencing an unfortunate case of frostbite after trekking to the North Pole.

The Royals have rules about everything, including their appearance. From their hairstyles to nails, it’s governed. For makeup, bright lip colors are received poorly in the Royal family, which is why so many choose nudes or barely-there pinks. Some, however, skirt a daring red lipstick from time to time — definitely the exception and not the rule.
While the Royal family has not outright banned the color, they strongly suggested using more decorum. Mary Greenwell, makeup artist for the Royals, told Vogue that the color choice “isn’t about trends but about timeless, classic beauty.”
Here are Kate Middleton and other members of the Royal family’s favorite lip brands and colors.

Prince Harry’s memoir ‘Spare,’ came out earlier this week. And as expected, it’s filled with a lot of stories about his childhood, what life is like in the Royal Family, and his wife, Meghan Markle.
What you might not have known is that Harry also included some really personal details, about his history of drug use for example, and the story of the time he got frostbite on his penis and to heal it used the same brand of lip balm this late mother Princess Diana preferred, and it was the latter which led Jimmy Kimmel to give the Duke of Sussex some advice for his next book.
“You know, when they say write a tell-all – they don’t mean tell-all,” Kimmel joked in his monologue on Thursday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Justin Bieber has had quite the 2019 already. He married his girlfriend Hailey Baldwin, his recent release "I Don't Care" with Ed Sheeran is already blowing up the Billboard charts, and he's also planning to release a natural deodorant. He's making moves, and probably a lot of money. So how much is he worth?
First, we can look at what he's banked from his music. His tours have raked in some serious cash! According to Forbes, his first tour, My World, made $53.3 million in ticket sales, and his second, Believe, earned $69.9 million. His most recent Purpose tour earned him $250 million in ticket sales, according to Billboard. Billboard also noted that his iconic concert documentary Justin Bieber: Never Say Never from 2011 grossed a total of $73 million. Obviously Justin isn't taking home all of that money - which would be nice - but he surely get a hefty chunk of change out of it.

Sony Pictures has acquired the film rights to best-selling author Richard Kirshenbaum’s first novel “Rouge” about the glitzy-glam, competitive 20th century beauty industry, Variety has learned.
Wendy Finerman (“The Devil Wears Prada”) will produce the project, which will cast A-list actresses in the lead roles of the business titans, who are suspiciously similar to real-life foes Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubinstein.
“Rouge” details the cutthroat world of the beauty business world between the two rivals. The novel is set in cities across the world such as NYC, Hollywood, Palm Beach, London, and Paris and St Martin’s Press Executive Editor Beier likened the story to “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” in style and time-period.
The book will hit stores on “Rouge” on June 25, but it sold in an auction based on the galleys.

Meshulam Riklis, a billionaire businessman best known as the husband of actress Pia Zadora and the fulcrum of a Golden Globes scandal in the 1980s, has died in a Tel Aviv hospital, according to his family. He was 95.
Riklis was accused of lavishly wooing members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in advance of the 1982 Golden Globes, sponsoring a junket two months before the event to his Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and a major press luncheon and screening at his Beverly Hills mansion.
Zadora subsequently won a Golden Globe for New Star of the Year in a Motion Picture in 1982 for her role in Butterfly, which Riklis co-produced. The movie had not opened in the U.S. at the time.

An early advocate of women’s rights, Elizabeth Arden famously provided red lipsticks to the suffragettes marching on Fifth Avenue in 1912. Wearing red lipstick, which wasn’t a socially acceptable practice at the time, became a symbol of the women’s movement and has remained an icon of female power to this day. As the women’s movement remains in force over 100 years later, Elizabeth Arden continues its fearless female founder’s legacy of advocating for women and honoring their ability to be forces of change in the world with the introduction of the March On campaign.

Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has filed a $15 million lawsuit against a French cosmetic company she claims unlawfully used her name to promote its products. The suit, against Caudalie was filed at Los Angeles federal court on what is both her and her husband Michael Douglas' birthday. It accuses the firm, which specializes in vinotherapy products containing grape seed polyphenols, of boasting that Zeta-Jones "was spotted buying the complete Caudalie range of skincare". The actress denies using the French company's products or taking advantage of their spa services and says she never gave permission to use her name in promoting the beauty line. The matter is particularly embarrassing for the actress, as only last year she signed a high profile contract to be a spokesmodel for cosmetic giants Elizabeth Arden.

Catherine Zeta-Jones' marriage to Michael Douglas is reportedly going through some tricky times--because Douglas is often being left to look after baby Dylan. According to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, the Hollywood couple's marriage has hit a rocky patch due to Catherine's desire to work more while Michael would rather relax and put in some charity work. The glamorous pair is currently holed up in their stunning $7 million villa on the island of Majorca. But because 32-year-old Catherine is increasingly busy with work commitments, Wall Street star Douglas, 57, is literally being left to hold the baby. Douglas uses the luxury holiday home as an escape from the couple's hectic Los Angeles lifestyle, spending much of his time playing golf and helping the Costa Nord Foundation, dedicated to preserving coastal Majorca's natural environment. But the beautiful Entrapment star doesn't share her husband's hobbies, according to a source. The source says, "She's really not into all this donkey preservation and stuff. It's not as if she needs the money. She just gets bored sitting around the villa looking after baby Dylan and needs to go and do something." The Welsh actress has been working hard on TV commercials and recently signed a deal to become the new face of Elizabeth Arden cosmetics. The source adds, "Michael is very fed up with the situation, even though there is a nanny on duty 24/7."...
