Based just north of Atlanta on a farm converted into a recording studio in Dahlonega, Georgia, Doug's career spanned more than 25 years, his voice a fixture on US and European Television and radio, selling "television series, cars, clothes, services or food."
Doug started out as a freelancer, voicing commercials and promotions. His big break came when NBC-TV EVP Marketing & Promotion Steve Schmer gave him his first network promo spot.
Among his clients were Ford, Walt Disney, Coca-Cola, Turner Broadcasting, NBC Universal, Tribune ABC Sports, Cream of Wheat, Calvin Klein, American Express, Miramax Films, HBO, Showtime and Discovery Channel.
Doug passed away in 2017 with the official cause of death heart failure resulting from pulmonary fibrosis; survived by his spouse Sharon.
