Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans may focus on the falling out between Truman Capote (Tom Hollander) and the women of New York City’s high society, but the FX anthology series is also the late Treat Williams‘ final onscreen role. The actor, who was killed in a motorcycle accident in June 2023, takes on the part of Bill Paley, husband to Naomi Watts‘ Babe, who was a close confidante of Capote’s until a fateful turn of events puts them on opposing sides in Ryan Murphy‘s series. Russell Tovey as John O’Shea (Credit: Ray Mickshaw/FX) Bill Paley is best known for his contributions to media, particularly as the former executive responsible for building CBS from a small radio network into one of the leading radio and television networks in the United States. But he was also known for his extramarital dalliances, an aspect of his life that is incorporated into the show.

Carrie Underwood is a mom of two boys. In 2018, the country artist opened up about her three miscarriages — and how music became “therapeutic” to her. That’s especially true of her 2018 song “Cry Pretty,” which was inspired by traumatic events in her personal life.

Underwood sometimes details her personal life through music, elaborating on some of her hardest moments. In 2018, Underwood revealed that she suffered three miscarriages in the span of two years — before the birth of her son Jacob.
As noted by Hello Magazine, Underwood noted the rhetoric surrounding miscarriages, although she didn’t consider it a “dirty secret,” saying it’s something “many women go through.”

Simon Cowell gained fame with his reputation as the brutally honest — and sometimes downright mean — judge on American Idol. However, that wasn’t who Cowell really was, according to former Fox executive Mike Darnell. In an interview last year, Darnell revealed that Cowell’s “mean judge” personality was all part of a “character” created specifically for American Idol. Here’s more on Cowell’s time on Idol and his persona, plus what he’s been up to since leaving the show.

Cowell, who grew up in an upper-class family in England, worked in the record industry for years. He was a talent scout and producer, signing artists and groups like Westlife, Sinitta, Jerome Flynn, and more. So, Cowell knew what to look for when he became a judge on Pop Idol in the U.

Twenty-one years ago, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell teamed up with Ryan Seacrest for the first time to find the best amateur singing voices on American Idol Season 1. Little did the original American Idol judges know that their show would go on to become a life-changing experience filled with career-defining moments. Jackson, Abdul, and Cowell all walked away from American Idol eventually, but the show lived on with different judges. Here’s why the original trio left.

Netflix‘s Ginny & Georgia Season 2 faced what many ongoing streaming series encounter – picking up a continuous storyline, but filming it months or even years later.
How do the filmmakers and actors recreate the same magic from the previous season after significant time has passed?
Ginny & Georgia Season 1 ended with Ginny (Antonia Gentry) learning that her mother Georgia (Brianne Howey) had murdered her stepfather. Angry and confused, Ginny steals Marcus’s (Felix Mallard) motorcycle and rides off into the night with little brother Austin (Diesel La Torraca) on the back.
Director James Genn, who was charged with knitting together Ginny & Georgia Seasons 1 and 2 recently reflected on the challenges he faced.
“I came to the series like everyone else,” Genn told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “I didn’t have anything to do with the first season and was introduced to it like the rest of the world, by turning on Netflix and bingeing the whole first season.

So You Think You Can Dance has reached its Season 17 conclusion as a winner was crowned during the finale of Fox‘s fan-favorite dance competition series. Marking a milestone for the show, Alexis Warr took home the top honor becoming the first ballroom dancer to win So You Think You Can Dance. The decision of who would be named America’s Favorite Dancer came down to Alexis and her fellow competitor Keaton Kermode who put his best foot forward throughout the season. (Credit: Ray Mickshaw/Fox) Ultimately, America went with Alexis who nearly collapsed upon hearing host Cat Deeley read her name from the results card. As the audience went wild, judges Jojo Siwa, Leah Remini, and Stephen “tWitch” Boss sent a round of applause Alexis’ way. The new champ, who comes from Orem, Utah, walks away with the title of America’s Favorite Dancer, while also acquiring the accompanying...

At the start of “The Man Who Fell to Earth,” the character we come to know as Faraday (Chiwetel Ejiofor) is introduced as an extraterrestrial being, albeit one in humanoid form. In these early, dialogue-free scenes, the visuals propel the narrative by putting the audience in Faraday’s shoes. Extreme, close focus, widescreen close-ups capture in startling detail the disorientation Faraday feels. As Alex Kurtzman, co-creator of the Showtime series, aptly puts it, “He comes blinking into reality and is taking in absolutely every detail at a visual and aural level.”
The cinematography is as breathtakingly precise in how it captures Faraday’s arrival, but what is equally impressive about the series’ first three episodes is that director of photography Tommy Maddox-Upshaw brings this same exacting touch to completely different worlds and subjectivities. Like Faraday, the viewer is left piecing together the different threads, but we are always visually grounded by Maddox-Upshaw’s lens.

“This is like camping—it’s intense,” says Domino Masters host Eric Stonestreet. Pun aside, he’s not joking. The goal in this tournament-style competition is for teams to design, build and set off elaborate chain reactions that tell a story (sports-themed on March 9), work when Stonestreet shouts, “It’s topple time!” and impress the judges. Ray Mickshaw/Fox The Modern Family Emmy winner fills us in. Plus, watch an exclusive sneak peek above of a full topple, narrated by Joe Buck, to see just what can be built using dominos. What did you love about this show? Eric Stonestreet: It’s this collision of fun and education, because there’s so much to learn about how everything works and then the fun of knocking it all down. Serendipitously timed to a moment when many parents are stuck at home and in constant search of things to keep their kids entertained, “Lego Masters” has proven to be a bright spot for dark times, showcasing skill and passion and creativity in a family-friendly competition show package.
And that’s exactly how it was always intended, even before a global coronavirus pandemic made that more necessary than ever, says executive producer Anthony Dominici. It’s a show meant to bring families together and keep them entertained — maybe even inspire a little creativity along the way.
“I think people are always looking for something they can watch with their kids whether there’s a pandemic or not, but especially now, people are looking for ways to entertain themselves, have kids work on projects and stuff like that, and this show is actually kind of perfect for all of that,” Dominici said in an interview with TheWrap.
