Twenty years to the day after Danielle Reyes finished second on “Big Brother 3,” Taylor Hale became the first Black woman to win the game when she beat Monte Taylor in Sunday’s Season 24 finale — and don’t think Danielle didn’t notice.
“New Queen is in the house! Congratulations Taylor! I’m so proud of you,” she tweeted Monday before quoting lyrics from Beyonce‘s “Formation”: “You know you that bitch when you cause all this conversation / Always stay gracious, best revenge is your paper.”
The first Black houseguest to make the final two, Danielle lost to Lisa Donahue by a jury vote of 9-1. Her loss was widely attributed to the fact that, at the time, jury members were sent back home after their evictions and could watch the show, allowing them to witness Danielle’s cutthroat moves and gameplay. Since then, jury members have been sequestered and...

In one of the most improbable runs in “Big Brother” and reality TV history, Taylor Hale won “Big Brother 24” on Sunday, nearly three months after she was ostracized and targeted by the house in the very first week of the game. She also won America’s Favorite Houseguest, the first game winner to take home the 50,000 prize.
Entering the finale, Taylor was dejected after losing the first two parts of the final Hoh to Matthew Turner and Monte Taylor, respectively, meaning she would have to rely on one of them to bring her to the final two. Monte won the third part and kept his promise to take her to the final two, where the former Miss Michigan crushed the jury Q&a and delivered a final speech for the ages, “challenging” the jury to vote for someone with resiliency and persistence instead of just comp wins. The jurors obliged with an 8-1 vote,...

Expect the unexpected indeed. Christie Valdiserri, one of the announced “Big Brother 23” houseguests, has departed the show, just days before the season premiere, due to a positive Covid-19 test and has been replaced, Gold Derby has learned. Claire Rehfuss will now take her spot in the 16-person cast (see the full cast here).
In a video posted Monday on the show’s Instagram account, Valdiserri says she has “no idea” how she tested positive because she’s been vaccinated and has been “following all the guidelines.”
“I have absolutely no symptoms. I feel perfectly fine, so I’m really grateful for that, but it’s really frustrating ’cause I won’t be playing in ‘Big Brother’ this summer,” she says. “I just have to say that when you’re face with adversity, I’m just telling myself that it’s for a bigger reason and I wanna believe that. And...

Just as Gold Derby predicted, Cody Calafiore (aka Bb Comics’ The Cali-Fury) became the winner of “Big Brother 22” on Wednesday, October 28. He faced off against Enzo Palumbo in the final two after solely eliminating Nicole Franzel when he took the last Head of Household. (Read our minute-by-minute finale recap.) By claiming the title of “All-Stars” champion, Cody became the 15th man to win “Big Brother” across 22 seasons, compared to only seven women.

The first two winners of CBS’s reality TV show were both men: the often-forgotten Eddie McGee (Season 1) and frequent returnee Dr. Will Kirby (Season 2). Following that, two women won consecutively for the first and only time in “Bb” history, Lisa Donahue (Season 3) and Jun Song (Season 4), neither of whom have ever been invited back to play again.
Besides Cody, Eddie and Will, the other dozen male winners were...

Big Brother has been filled with drama since its inception 20 years ago.
Several people have won the grand prize, and while some may not have deserved it, they managed to scheme their way to the top spot.
With a second All-Stars season on the way, it's time to take a look back at some of the winners and where they are at today.
Eddie McGee (Season 1)
Big Brother was a very different game when it launched back in the year 2000.
McGee played a decent enough game and is the first-ever winner of the U.S. iteration.
In the years since his win, he has worked as an actor, with roles in The Human Race and God's Pocket.
Will Kirby (Season 2)
Will is one of the best players to ever enter the house. There's no doubt about that.
He subsequently returned to the game in Big Brother: All Stars, and finished in fourth place.

Kaycee is the odds-on favorite to win “Big Brother 20,” and if our little peanut does pull it off, she’d only be the second woman to beat a man in the final. Can we get a “Let’s go!”?
The first instance occurred just two years ago, when Nicole Franzel beat Paul Abrahamian 5-4 on “Big Brother 18.” All the other male-female final twos resulted in the guy winning the $500,000:
Season 2: Dr. Will Kirby beat Nicole Nilson Schaffrich
Season 7: Mike “Boogie” Malin beat Erika Landin
Season 8: Evil Dick beat Daniele Donato
Season 15: Andy Herren beat Gina-Marie Zimmerman
Season 17: Steve Moses beat Liz Nolan

Surprise, surprise. Another "Big Brother" contestant is in trouble with the law.
Tonya Paoni, who was a housemate in the show's third season, is accused of something more serious than disorderly conduct or assault though.
Paoni, who now goes by the name Tonya Casper, was arrested for reckless homicide in May for an incident that left two people dead in Springfield, Illinois last summer, reports TMZ.
The 43-year-old was allegedly driving under the influence when she hit an SUV on Interstate 72. One of the passengers in the hit car died and so did another man who was caught in the multi-car crash.
Paoni is currently held on $1 million bond at Sangamon County Jail.
She's scheduled to return to court on July 19.
Paoni is a retail sales specialist who was evicted on Day 20 from "Big Brother 3." She's remembered for wearing "peanut butter bikinis" along with fellow housemates Chiara Jude Berti and Lisa Donahue.
