Bill Cowsill was born on January 4, 1948 in Middletown, Rhode Island, USA. He was an actor, known for Leaving Metropolis (2002), Reluctant Angel (1997) and Harmony Cats (1992). He was married to Karen Betsy Locke. He died on February 17, 2006 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
He later fronted both The Blue Shadows and The Co-Dependents.
The Cowsills made regular television appearances. Columbia Pictures considered a television program based on their lives and starring most of the members of the band. This idea was eventually reworked and became The Partridge Family (1970), with David Cassidy playing the lead singer (Billy's position).
The Cowsills had three Top 10 hits: "The Rain, the Park and Other Things", "Indian Lake" and "Hair".
