Audrina Patridge is recalling the terrifying moment she locked herself in her closet after being targeted by the infamous Bling Ring burglars.
During a recent appearance on the Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson & Olivia Allen podcast, The Hills star and The O.C. alum realized they were both among the celebrities that were targeted by a group of five Los Angeles teenagers and 20-somethings, dubbed the “Bling Ring,” who went on a crime spree from 2008 to 2009.
“They took trash bags of stuff,” Patridge said. “They knew I was at an Oscars party, and they knew that because I tweeted it, but then I had cameras and my cameras are the ones that caught their [Nick Prugo and Rachel Lee] faces and I posted it on my website, and said if anyone knows of these people let me know.”

Hannah Gutierrez Reed is scheduled to face a manslaughter trial in two weeks, becoming one of only a handful of people ever tried for an accident on a film set.
The case against her is relatively straightforward. She was responsible for safe handling of guns on “Rust,” the Western starring Alec Baldwin. She loaded a live bullet into Baldwin’s gun. As a result, Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer, was killed.
“The primary goal of an armorer is to ensure that no one is injured by a prop gun,” wrote the prosecutor, Kari Morrissey, in a recent court filing. “Obviously, Ms. Gutierrez failed to ensure that the gun handed to Alec Baldwin was loaded solely with dummy rounds.”
The defense will have to persuade the jury that it’s more complicated than that. Her team is expected to argue that she has been made into a scapegoat for the mistakes of others — including the production team,...

Rachel Bilson is setting the record straight. The 41-year-old actress dated comedian Bill Hader in 2020, with the former pair attending the 77th Annual Golden Globes together. But by July 2020, they had called it quits.
This past June, Bilson made headlines when she spoke with Aubrey Plaza during an episode of Bilson’s podcast, “Broad Ideas”, calling her split from Hader, “probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done, harder than childbirth.”
During an episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast with Alex Cooper this week, Bilson clarified the comment.
“I did not actually say that. I’m happy you brought that up,” Bilson said when Cooper referenced the quote. “I said, obviously, he and I, we’re not still together, so we broke up. But it was during a time where you could not leave your house.”
Bilson added that the breakup amid the start of the pandemic proved to...

There’s a scene in “The Rocketeer,” Disney’s big budget would-be blockbuster from the summer of 1991, that ranks among the most profoundly strange and transfixing moments in the studio’s storied history.
The scene, which takes place in 1938, unfolds right before the movie’s big, fiery climax at L.A.’s Griffith Observatory. Our hero, L.A. stunt pilot-turned-makeshift-superhero Cliff Secord (Billy Campbell) is in the office of Howard Hughes (a perfectly cast Terry O’Quinn). Hughes, it turns out, is the inventor of an experimental rocket pack that Secord has happened upon and utilized in a series of exciting action sequences. The FBI is there too. Hughes wants his rocket back, stressing how potentially dangerous it is, especially if it fell into the wrong hands. Secord wants to keep it.
To underline his point, Hughes shows Secord a film. “Keep watching, kid. It cost a man’s life to get this out of Germany,...

Rachel Bilson is making amends with old friends.

“Someone saw us talking and the press went with, ‘Oh, did Rachel and Chace hookup?'” Bilson revealed to him on the Aug. 29 episode of her “Broad Ideas” podcast. “My publicist came to me and because at the time I was on a break from my serious relationship, I told her she had to kill the story.”

The denial, however, came out far stronger than Bilson intended, a fact she still felt guilty about to this day.
“They printed it, but it had a quote from my publicist that this is completely fabricated and I’m like, ‘Wait that is so mean.
