Vladimir Vidic is a Serbian film producer and editor. From 2001 to 2008 he worked mainly as an editor of numerous short films, documentaries and other short video forms. In 2007 he edited his first feature film with a notable Serbian director Slobodan Sijan and during 2007 and 2008 worked on two major television series for Croatian AVA production group. In January 2006, together with his colleague Natasa Damnjanovic, he founded Dart film, starting his producer career. His production house is focusing on working with emerging talented filmmakers of the younger generation in the hope of forming a new creative wave in the regional film industry. Dart film has till now produced and co-produced a number of features films, short films and documentaries which were screened at various domestic and international festivals (Berlinale, Cannes, Rotterdam FF, Locarno FF, New York Film Festival, Mar del Plata, Sarajevo FF, Cottbus, FEST etc.) with one of the shorts being nominated for the European Film Awards in 2015. Most notably feature films "Vlaznost" (Humidity, by Nikola Ljuca) was international coproduction premiered at Berlinale and supported by Eurimages and "Svi severni gradovi" (All the Cities of the North, by Dane Komljen) were screened on more than 40 festivals worldwide during 2016 and 2017. A coproduction film "I Was at Home, But" by Angela Schanelec won Silver Bear for Best Director at Berlinale 2019. Vladimir has over a decade of experience in TV production and post-production, working on the largest licensed TV formats such as the Got Talent and X Factor franchises, as well as on a number of TV Series, corporate and documentary forms, both short and long. As an editor he works on a feature and short films, TV series, TV commercials and other audio-visual forms. Among other seminars and workshops, he participated in a BBC Training and Development workshop in creating news and TV program, as well as British Council and BBC Research and Development workshops about new OBM broadcast technologies. He works as a lecturer in Digital Video Production course at SAE Institute in Belgrade and he is a member of EFA (European Film Academy) and UFPS (Association of Serbian Film Producers). He lives in and works from Belgrade, Serbia.
